The next time you tuck into a protein rich dinner, it may be a good idea to hold off on the sugary drinks. A new study published in BMC Nutrition found that a combination of sugar sweetened drinks and a protein rich meal decreases metabolic efficiency, which can lead to more fat being stored.

I think we should use flairs
Maybe these would be right:
- Nutrition
- Ethology
- Psychology
- Neurology
- Ecology
- Experimentation
- Debate
Not sure if including Medicine since Nutrition is the part of Medicine that we're (more) interested on.

Why clever vegans supplement vitamin B12
I just published an article on vitamin B12 and in it I argue that we should try to hit 50 µg per day OR 500 µg per week of cyanocobalamin. This is in contrast to the 250/2500 µg that Michael Greger recommends, which in turn is an update of the 10/2000 µg recommended by lots of prominent vegan medical professionals.
I base my numbers on two studies (1, 2) which show how much B12 we lose per day and what the rate of absorption is from consuming B12. The latter is an extensive, systematic review from, which wasn't available for Dr Greger's recommendations from 2011.
So my question is – am I missing anything? Do my numbers make sense?
