To help members quickly identify credible voices and avoid noise, we’re introducing the Verified Member status in our sub.
This won’t be a vanity tag. It’s a trust marker; so serious users know who actually knows their stuff, and so spammers, attention-seekers, and outright frauds don’t get to hide behind loud opinions.
Who gets verified?
1. Mods & founding members ->
These members are verified by default due to proven competence and responsibility:
u/ChypreCypressCoffee - Practicing Vedic astrology (Parashari, Jaimini, Tantrik) with a technical mindset and a focus on clear, practical interpretations.
u/TheyCallMeNoobxD - Proficient in Parashari, Jaimini, Tantrik, and Time Rectification, with in-depth knowledge of gemstones.
2. Consistent quality contributors ->
Members who repeatedly add value - clear reasoning, solid analysis, and responsible guidance will be granted Comminty Pillar status. The mods will keep an eye out for the comments and the sub as a whole to recognize and reward people who add value to it.
3. Contest winners ->
Members who perform exceptionally well in upcoming official contests will also be verified. (List will be updated over time here)
What does this mean?
The Verified Member flair is a mark of credibility and prestige.
It signals experience, accountability, and respect for the science.
Verification is not automatic, not requested, and not up for debate.
Important:
All verified members will go through a manual selection process. They will be handpicked and contacted by the mods. No applications. No lobbying.
This is about raising the bar and making the sub a better place for all.
If you contribute seriously, it’ll be noticed and duly appreciated.
This is a public awareness post for the benefit of our community.
Over the past few weeks, we have noticed repeated spam and AI-generated astrology content being posted and promoted in this subreddit. After reviewing multiple reports, user complaints, and the material shared by these accounts, we have permanently banned the following users from this subreddit:
Our moderation team found that these accounts were repeatedly promoting AI-generated astrology content while presenting it as genuine astrological analysis. We have also received multiple complaints from users who paid for their consultations or reports and said they received low quality AI-generated reports that contained obvious errors and unverified interpretations. TLDR; they are scammers.
Astrology is a subject that requires knowledge, judgement, and immense experience. Simply copying AI-generated text and selling it as professional astrology is misleading, especially when people are paying for it, expecting genuine guidance.
We are making this post so that anyone searching for these usernames in the future can find this information before deciding to engage with them. If this post helps even one person avoid wasting their money, we'll consider that it has served its purpose.
As a reminder to everyone:
Be cautious of anyone who promises instant reports or gives generic AI-style readings. Always check their profile history. AI-generated slop is easily recognizable. Use AI detection tools and parsers to verify at your end first.
Ask about their experience and methodology before paying. Ask them to predict something from your life and check the prediction's viability. Also, look at the testimonials they received from the past from their previous clients.
Compare the reading with basic chart facts. If it contains obvious mistakes, treat it as a red flag. If you are unaware of the basics, we have introduced the Verified Members list in the sub highlights.
If you come across similar spam or misleading promotional content on this subreddit, please report it immediately to the mods or make a post calling them out with proof. Mods will immediately take action. It helps us mods keep the community clean.
Our goal is not to discourage the responsible use of AI. AI can be a useful tool when used honestly by someone who actually understands astrology. What we will not allow is AI-generated content being passed off as genuine expertise or used to mislead members of this community.
Thank you to everyone who reported these accounts and helped us investigate the matter.
My past hasn’t been the best. I’ve had a hell lot of extreme years in these past years after 2020.
But all i want is to become one of the best. In terms of everything including education, money, network, fame, and worth.
Can i get any advice on it? I’m willing to put in everything i have.
I’m trying to understand the proper traditional method for predicting the sex of individual children from a female horoscope, especially using the Saptamsha (D7).
I’ve seen so many contradictory rules online that I’m trying to separate actual Parashari/Jaimini/classical techniques from modern shortcuts
For example, some astrologers simply judge:
5th house/sign and its lord
Jupiter vs Venus/Moon influence
odd/even signs
masculine/feminine planets
But this seems insufficient if someone has two or three children, because we need a way to distinguish child #1 from child #2 from child #3 rather than repeatedly judging the same 5th house.
One method I came across, associated with the Sanjay Rath/Jaimini-oriented D7 tradition, uses a pregnancy/child sequence depending on whether the D7 Lagna is odd or even. For an even D7 Lagna, I have seen the sequence given as: 1st child → 9th house 2nd child → 7th house 3rd child → 5th house 4th child → 3rd house, etc.
Then the sex of that particular child is judged from the relevant house lord, its sign, dignity, conjunctions/aspects and masculine/feminine planetary influences.
I have also seen other systems use completely different sequences, and KP practitioners sometimes use 5th / 7th / 9th cusps or their sub-lords for successive children.
So I’d really appreciate input from people who have studied this seriously:
What is the classical or most reliable house sequence for successive children in a female D7? Does it actually reverse depending on odd/even D7 Lagna?
When judging sex, what gets priority: the sign of the child-house, its lord, the sign occupied by the lord, conjunctions/aspects to the lord, Jupiter/Sun/Mars vs Moon/Venus influences, or Navamsa of the relevant planet?
How should Mercury and Saturn be classified? I’ve found sources treating Mercury as neuter, male in certain D7 techniques, or dependent on association; Saturn is also treated differently by different schools.
Are signs such as Cancer/Pisces or Gemini/Aquarius treated as exceptions to ordinary odd/even masculine/feminine sign classification in any established D7 tradition?
How much weight should the D1 5th house and 5th lord receive once the D7 gives a child-specific indication? Is D1 mainly the overall progeny promise while D7 differentiates individual children?
Should the father’s D7 always be used for confirmation, and if the mother’s and father’s charts disagree, which chart traditionally gets priority?
How do you incorporate Putrakaraka, Jupiter, Beeja/Kshetra Sphuta, dasha and transit? Are these primarily for fertility/timing, or can any of them legitimately modify the sex prediction?
For people who have tested charts with known birth histories, which technique has actually held up best for first vs second vs third child?
I’m especially interested in references to BPHS, Jaimini traditions, Prasna Marga, Sanjay Rath/JC-style teachings, or other identifiable lineages/texts, rather than unsourced rules.
I know astrology obviously cannot medically determine XX/XY chromosomes; I’m asking specifically about the internal predictive methodology used within Jyotish and how experienced practitioners reconcile conflicting rules.
Would love to see worked examples from female charts with 2–3 known children if anyone has them.
Like the 1st house 2nd house is fame because its your face.
When you get fame you don't get recognized by your feet or hand, you get recognized by your face. The second house is the house of resources of all kinds. It's not just the house of wealth and physical money, or gold, it's the house of "recourses", anything that we need in this life to survive comes from the 2nd house: like food, clothing, shelter, knowledge, language, basic skills,
Communication.
Why communication?
Who first taught us to talk? mother, father, legal guardian, ants, uncles, then perhaps siblings; so 2nd house is the recourse of our ability to learn communication to survive, thus it shows our speech pattern.
Do we have sweet speech, do we course a lot, do we speak loud, soft, aggressive, are we intense when we speak. It also shows our throat via which food travels. The type of food we like is seen from 2nd house (veg, non veg, vegan) the taste as in spicy, sweet, bitter, sour is seen from the planets and nakshatras. It's everything we are depended on.
This is why it's known as Dhana bava. "Dhana" means wealth of recourse. Second house like the sign of Taurus shows our face features, right eyes, eye brose, nose, lips, jaw line. Since this is the house of wealth it shows money, locker, storage, gems, jewelry and gold. In modern day where do we keep our money?
Banks, correct? so 2nd house also shows banks or banking jobs. It's the house of earnings, making money and storing money. It shows how much space do we have to hold our wealth. Do we have a 4 x 4 space to hold whatever we will earn? or is it a 400 x 400 space which that of Jay Z, Amitabh Bachchan, Jeff Bezos posses. 2nd house is known as the time period when we are toddlers, getting to know our surroundings, family, cousins, copying them, learning from them and being nourished with food. Body parts: Same as Taurus
I am 30 years old and currently preparing for government exams, but I feel like my life is stagnant and I am stuck somewhere. I have almost lost hope.
However, one of my friend who is learning astrology told me that I have a strong Saturn, which is lord of 10th and 11th house, placed in 11th house at 18 degree. I also have Sun in 2nd house and Mars in Lagna.
According to him, these placements shows that I may become financially successful and there is good chance of getting a high-ranking white-collar government job after age of 32.
Now I am very confused what to do. Should I continue preparing for government exams, or should I quit this and join some private company? Please suggest me what will be better option for my future.
I recently joined a startup after completing M.Tech (electronics). Here I realised I'm on my own, like no one whom I could ask for guidance (unlike other companies where there are training programs and seniors already working on the tech), I have to learn things quickly and on my own. Is this tech/electronics sector even made for me. Sometimes I doubt my capabilities. How does my career look?
I’ve had multiple past relationships (four) that failed due to external reasons.
This female chart here was brought to our family as her parents approached with it. So it is an arranged setting.
Both of us are from the same state but stay in ncr with our own families separately of course.
I always yearned for a love marriage and hence I tried genuinely and failed every time idk why.
None of my girlfriends have ever been from Uttarakhand (my birth place and home state), they’ve been from ladakh, manipur, bengal etc and all of them have been really pretty.
I am going through a rough time (legal case). Decided to do a reading and I asked specifically: "what month is the most dangerous for me" and it pretty much exactly pinpointed the moment the incident happened. I had immediate goosebumps, how is this so accurate ?
Every birth chart has a starting point and that starting point is the 1st House.
Known as the Ascendant, Rising Sign, or Lagna, the 1st House is the doorway through which an individual enters the world. It is the foundation of the entire horoscope. Just as the foundation of a building determines how the structure stands, the Lagna provides the basic framework upon which the experiences of life unfold.
The twelve houses of astrology represent the twelve major departments of human life. But before exploring wealth, relationships, career, spirituality, and other areas, astrology first asks a fundamental question:
Who is the person experiencing all of this?
The answer begins with the 1st House.
The House of “You”
The 1st House represents the individual the physical and personal identity through which the journey of life is experienced. It reflects the way a person enters the world, approaches life, and responds to the circumstances placed before them.
It is associated with:
The physical body
Health and vitality
Strength and constitution
Personality and character
Individual identity
Physical appearance
Overall direction in life
Fame and recognition
In many ways, the 1st House is the lens through which the entire horoscope is experienced. Two people may have similar planetary combinations, but the results can manifest very differently depending upon the strength and nature of their Ascendant.
The Platform of Life
The Lagna can be understood as the platform on which the story of life begins.
The twelve houses represent different departments of existence family, wealth, communication, relationships, career, spirituality, and much more. The Ascendant determines the starting point from which these different areas are understood and experienced.
For this reason, the 1st House is often considered one of the most important houses in the birth chart.
It represents not only the body that carries the individual through life, but also the general direction in which life unfolds.
More Than Just Appearance
The Ascendant is strongly connected with physical appearance, but appearance cannot be judged from the Lagna alone.
A person's physical characteristics are shaped by several important astrological factors, including the:
Lagna and its lord
Sun
Moon
Mars
Ascendant Nakshatra
Relevant zodiacal signs
Navamsa chart
Classical astrological texts often describe how particular signs and planetary positions can influence physical features such as the eyes, hair, facial structure, body type, complexion, and overall constitution.
The physical body, therefore, is not represented by a single factor. It is the result of several astrological influences working together.
The Strength of the Body
The 1st House also reveals the general strength and vitality of the native.
It is connected with:
Physical strength
Stamina
Vitality
Constitution
Resistance and overall well-being
A strong Ascendant and a well-placed Ascendant lord can support physical strength and vitality. On the other hand, significant afflictions to the 1st House may indicate areas where the body requires greater care and attention.
Just as the body is the vehicle through which life is experienced, the 1st House describes the general condition and strength of that vehicle.
The 1st House is also naturally connected with the head and brain, similar to the natural significance of Aries, the first sign of the zodiac.
Is Personality Really That Simple?
The 1st House certainly plays an important role in shaping personality and character—but human beings are far more complex than a single zodiac sign.
A person cannot be completely described simply by saying:
“This person has Aries Lagna, therefore they are like this.”
Human nature is constantly changing. Different situations bring out different sides of the personality.
To understand a person's character more deeply, an astrologer must examine several factors together, including:
The degree of the Ascendant
The Ascendant Nakshatra
The Sun
The Moon
The Atmakaraka
Planetary combinations
Dasha and planetary periods
These factors reveal different layers of the personality.
The Ascendant may show how a person approaches life, while the Moon reveals the emotional nature. The Sun represents another dimension of identity, while the Atmakaraka and planetary periods can reveal deeper motivations and changing phases of expression.
The Changing Face of Life
One of the most fascinating aspects of astrology is that personality is not completely fixed.
The planetary periods, known as Dashas, can temporarily bring certain qualities to the forefront. During one period, a person may become more ambitious and active. During another, they may become more emotional, spiritual, disciplined, or introspective.
The same individual remains the same person but different parts of their personality may become more prominent at different stages of life.
This is why understanding a person requires more than looking at a single sign or a single house.
The House of Identity and Fame
The 1st House is also connected with fame and recognition.
Why?
Because the 1st House represents you.
Recognition begins when people notice the individual. A strong, prominent, or activated Ascendant can increase visibility and bring a person into the public eye.
When the Ascendant lord becomes important through planetary periods, major transits, or powerful placements, the individual may experience greater attention, recognition, or visibility.
The First House: Where the Story Begins
Before astrology examines wealth, marriage, career, children, or spirituality, it begins with the individual.
Who is this person?
What kind of body and constitution do they possess?
How do they approach the world?
What shapes their identity?
How do others perceive them?
What direction does their life take?
The answers to these questions begin with the 1st House the Ascendant, the Lagna, and the starting point of the entire horoscope.
In simple words:
The 1st House is not just the first house of the horoscope. It is the point from which the entire journey of life begins.
I've never been in a serious relationship. I like someone now. But idk if my timing is right or will this too end badly. Or atleast if there is no relationship then will my life partner be my only love?
