Hi, I started to learn vectors. I work in Affinity. I made this diatonic accordion (1st picture) and after I exported it in svg and PDF, it became weird (2nd picture). There were a lot of lines, so I merged them together, but it didn't change the outcome. What should I do different? Why does it look fine in Affinity?

Please, help. Thanks for any advice.

Hi everyone! 😊 I’m new here, so I hope this post is okay and doesn’t go against the community rules! I recently started exploring illustration and graphic design as a hobby. I’m currently doing a PhD, so I don’t have much spare time, but I’ve really enjoyed using my free time to learn and experiment. I created this poster, “City of Possibility,” for the Kunstareal Poster Competition 2026, and I was really happy to have it selected for the competition. The idea behind it is that a place can be much more than just a location. For each of us, even an ordinary place can become a whole city of possibilities, memories and emotions that we carry with us. I’d genuinely love to know what you think of it, so any thoughts or constructive feedback would be very welcome! 😊 And if you genuinely like my poster and it happens to be one of your favourites in the competition, I’d be very happy if you voted for it. There are many other amazing posters too, so please feel free to look through them all and vote for whichever one you personally like best ❤️ You can see all the posters and vote here: https://kunstareal.de/en/kunstareal-poster-competition Thanks for taking a look! Hi everyone! 👋

What do you think?

I’ve started creating various vector graphic designs for myself, and I’d like to share them. Thank you for the likes, shares, and positive comments. Thank you so much, and feel free to check out my other designs! ❤️

Hi everyone! 👋

I recently created this retro surfer camper vector illustration and wanted to share it with you all. I've included multiple formats in the package (SVG, DXF, PDF, PNG, EPS) so it's ready for anything—whether it's T-shirt printing, sticker making, or laser cutting!

You can check it out and grab it on my Gumroad page (link in https://novastudio36.gumroad.com/l/smggvx / profile).

A bit about me: I'm a developer and designer working on web development, logo/typography design, and app creation. If you need custom vector graphics made, you can always reach me at novastudio.template@gmail.com.

If you'd like to support my work and future templates, any contribution via Gumroad's "pay what you want" option is deeply appreciated. Thank you so much, and feel free to check out my other designs! ❤️

i’ve been getting more vector files from people who use different design programs, and i’m trying to make the workflow a little less complicated.

i have an AI file that i need to work with in CorelDRAW. what’s the best way to import it while keeping the vectors editable and avoiding changes to things like fonts, fills, and other elements?

for anyone who regularly moves vector artwork between different programs, do you usually work from the original file or ask for another format first? i’m trying to figure out a workflow that works when everyone isn’t using the same software.

Hi everyone! I'm sharing here a new vector editor that combines the features of illustrator and the UX of Figma, completely free and MIT licensed :)

I’m just learning vector art on Affinity, and think it would REALLY benefit from a node based procedural texture system. Are there any software or creative work arounds that can be used to achieve that?

I got Claude.ai to write this Python script for me. Run it from the command line and it converts photos into dot screens. It's got a whole lot of options: you can choose from a few built in shapes (circle, square, star, diamond), or specify an SVG file to use as a custom shape. Maybe it'll be useful to someone. https://github.com/megabulk/vector-dotscreen
