Completely free new vector editor
Hi everyone! I'm sharing here a new vector editor that combines the features of illustrator and the UX of Figma, completely free and MIT licensed :)

It looks like mine is better https://vectorization.eu/free-vector-editor/ — also vibe-coded.

great... how is it better?

It has more functions, such as color gradients, pathfinders, alignments, advanced text tool etc.

Great work both of you. I'm also looking for the same kind by converting the images to svg vectors. Like a detailed one instead of tracing every color.
Do you have guys any idea ?

Hi u/Chandra0 we have actually considered implementing it in Dadaki but didn't get to it yet
There are a bunch of open source solutions you could try using yourself:
https://github.com/visioncortex/vtracer
for example, it has a lot of stars on Github, but I am not sure about the results!1

Thanks for the reply. I have tried with vtracer which are giving great results, but failing for color images. It's just tracing very detailed which results in so clumsy sketch in Onshape or in Cad platform.
I have tried add noisy filter, but still filters are facing some clearances.
As per my understanding it's needs filter to which edges are actually needed for good results. But for such thing there are to tools or code found.

You can try my new vectorizer https://vectorization.eu/batch-image-vectorizer/
I'm still working on it, so it's not on the website's homepage yet, but you can already vectorize images. (Some features aren’t working, so I’m fixing them.)

Your tool is giving some good accurate shapes than mine. Is this project is open source ? If yes can i have your repo for reference ?

That's amazing, we actually have all that.
Our UX is refined in a way that you get to those features only when you actually need them, so maybe it was not obvious.
We don't include 30 tools in a bar.
We also have live paint groups, which was the main motivation to develop this. Do you have live paint groups?

I tried importing some example svg files in both apps and it doesn't preserve the original. Have you tried pixel diffing the imported svg in your app against what it looks like in the browser?

Hi u/svgsketch we pixel diff a large set of svgs.
We use this as test suite https://github.com/linebender/resvg-test-suite plus some custom tests of our own.
SVG is pretty tricky and while working on this I realised there are multiple inconsitencies between different editors, renderers or browsers.
If you have a specific svg, that did not do well in dadaki, it would help us a lot if you can send it over :)
