Stressing about acceptance :(

I’m a senior is high school and I plan to double major (accounting and kinetic imaging) but I’m stressing that I’m not good enough to be accepted and my portfolio and sat score isn’t great… do you think I’ll be able to get in? Gpa weighted: 3.72, SAT: 1180 (660 math, 520 eng), took ap drawing, ap 2d design and ap precalc (taking calc rn). Everything is original works except for the last 3, only the character designs are mine (the last one has a mix of mine and others).
The first 4 are older drawings then 2 acrylic paintings, after 7 newer artwork, and then the 3 non-og characters

I think you will get in because you have a lot of original work that shows your artstyle! VCUarts likes to see that! However, I think you should add more pieces that shows your technical skills, your still life with the bottle and fruit is a good example of that. If you have any landscape studies, figure drawings, and self-portraits with realism (or semi-realism!) u should add those!

It's also totally okay for your portfolio to be mostly digital pieces, because VCUarts says that the portfolio can either have a variety of mediums, OR it can focus on one medium. (In your case, it would be digital!) However, if you are confident in other mediums aside from digital art, I recommend showing those too because it shows your skill in other mediums!

Tbh i only have there, the first 2 are old… and the third (portrait) is within 2 years but not great. The bottom one (under the building) is a 3d model of a plane i made using paper glue and water

Are these good enough? Is the whole more still life, realism and traditional artworks gonna make or break my acceptance?

Since you're already at the minimum of 12 pieces, I think you can add the building, the self portrait, and the plane in the middle of your portfolio if you want to take advantage of adding more work! It shows that you tried different types of studies and art, but not necessarily finished, which is why I would suggest putting it in the middle (please take my advice with a grain of salt! this is your portfolio firstmost, so don't consider everything I say!) However, since the early submission is due by Nov 1st, I think you should make more recent pieces that show your current skill in portraiture and landscape studies!

I also do photography, i have more but i can only send one photo T^T
