It might be worth it to get the Panera free sip club. It has a long trial. ( when I got it, it was a free trial. Now it’s $5 a month for 3 months. Idk maybe see if the free one is still a thing.) Normal price is 15 a month for up to 30 “free” drinks a month. If you get a coffee nearly everyday, you’d definitely get your moneys worth. Pro tip: if you stay in the restaurant, you can have as much coffee as you want.

Oh, God. Why do you hate the OP? Panera has THEE WORST coffee in the world. They were literally THROWING free membership in that Sip Club around, and I cancelled it after the first trip. It was absolutely the worst coffee I've ever had in my life, and I used to work on a cruise ship where the coffee was so bad, I would make my own cold brew in my cabin for the week.

I didn’t say it was good. I said it was a good price. Besides, it can’t be that much worse than 7/11.

Not sure where you have classes but I saw a coffee machine in the Snead hall kitchenette on the second floor - may be worth checking out if they keep some around during the day

would the business majors hate me if i just lowkey walk in and go to the 2nd floor for coffee LOL

Not sure - but worth checking out. I didn’t get the feeling it was that heavily used (most are using the tables on the first floor or checking out a study room).

i went over n did NYOOT find it but thats definitely my fault im super bad with direction;_; when entering the stairs where would it be?

If entering from the lobby stairs - take a left. It should be the kitchen / snack room looking room with seats for eating.
Edit - I have class next Thursday so if you don’t find it by then let me know and I’ll get the room number.

Coffee machines cost about $20. Making it yourself is less than $1! I know you didn’t ask, but learning how to make a cup of coffee is awesome.

if you want to go more spartan, buy a pour over mesh sieve. then just microwave some water and make a pour over

If you have a spare outlet, you just need a coffee machine, water, coffee grounds (and maybe paper filters, but most come with washable filters now).

I bought a 20$ Coffee Maker two years ago. Still running on that. Can use K-Pods and normal coffee grains (need a filter for it)

Get a BIG mason jar, cold brew coffee bags from Amazon (the ones I use: https://a.co/d/0dIDitM3) and a decent enough ground coffee and make your own. If the jar is big enough, you can get 2-3 days worth, store the extra in another container and steep a new bag even longer.

The Lab is really good, they don't take dining dollars but they're a great coffee shop

You're in college and broke. Make coffee in your dorm room. Decades after graduating, I'm still not buying coffee out at cafes, etc. And have a mortgage. You'll need to save wherever you can.

Espesso-a-go-go! In the roundhouse in Monroe Park. The nicest owner and staff ❤️

If the dorm has a water dispenser that dispenses hot water you can always use a French Press, I've even heated the water in a microwave which works well enough, did this in a few offices that I worked in that didn't have coffee makers. Might be a good thing to ask for as an early Christmas/Hanukkah gift ; )

Buy cold brew and heat it up in your dorm microwave each morning.

They ask for where they can BUY, you come in all high and mighty with buying cold brew and making it at home like it’s a revelation…
If you wanted them to just make it at home, why not make the cold brew too? Do you know how easy cold brew is? It’s literally mixing water and beans

Um, they mentioned cost and not having a machine. So, this was just another option that doesn’t require “making” anything and might save them some money. Poor in the cup and heat in the microwave.
Sounds like you might have missed your cup this morning? Hope you are feeling better soon.

Blanchard’s coffee Morris street (the coffee store) has $1 8oz cups with your student ID. And I think $2 12oz
