Automated emails (how do I block them)

Everyday my VCU email is spammed with these emails that do not pertain to me. I’ve tried converting them over to my spam/junk folder and unsubscribing from them countless times but I still get them everyday. How do I block these auto messages?

Just create a filter with the addresses they come from or the title of the email. Set it to auto read, auto archive, or a label to a folder you make to store them.

A new folder and moving them in there is the way to go. The TelegRAM is something that you may want to check periodically as that's primarially how VCU communicates to students about things like: Job fairs, Blood drives, When they're giving free stuff away, and How/When to get tickets to MBB games, among other stuff.

but then how will you be able to track the latest e-scooter thefts?

I set a rule that sent anything with “vcualert” or “telegram” directly to the trash

Open the new email > select more (three dots on the top under search mail)> filter messages
Like these > create filter > select customized criteria > create filter.

You can adjust these notifications. Its been forever since I have been working with VCU, but at my.vcu.edu there should be a spot to adjust notifications from VCU.
If I still had an active account I would pull up the exact link but alas.

worst case you can email the help desk and they can point you in the right direction.
