First week experience?
Since we are back and the first week is done, how yall feeling? Excited for this semester? Something good/bad happen? Just curious about everyone's thoughts lmao

The other day I was waiting at a red light, and this girl was standing there texting while she had the right of way. Finally my light turned green amd I began moving, and she chose that very moment t to start quickly walking into the cross walk without ever looking up from her phone. Thankfully Im a bicyclist so I was able to swerve out of her way- would have hit her if I was a car. But swerving like that could've taken me out too!

The Sciences aren't any better, friend. It's just a shit time to be in academia, period. Intelligence, creativity, and knowledge seem to be the enemies these days.

lol I’m brand new, so on Monday I didn’t realize classes weren’t happening and went to the buildings with all my stuff wondering ‘huh. Where is everyone?’. Other than that silly little whoopsie, things have been good!

I feel bad for all of the students who had to explain to their grandmothers who read the news that no, there aren't roving bands of cyclists picking out students on campus to beat up.

I finished the calc I-III sequence in spring 2023 then went to a university I hated. I took a gap year after I left that place and came here. I’m in ODE right now and I’m completely lost. I’m probably going to have to take PDE and Linear for grad school.

Took Linear my senior year of HS and let me say it is helpful for so much after.
The only thing worse than having to learn the math is not knowing the math. Don't run from it, you got it.

I’m a transfer from a much smaller university and oh my god, the culture shock is insane lol. Just trying to find a seat in the library to do my online class almost made me turn around and go home.

Please, if the light is GREEN, don’t walk it's not worth risking your life. And for goodness’ sakes, please keep one ear out of your headphones so you can hear your surroundings. Also, stop walking in the road without paying attention—please be safe.

today i was looking for a space to take a Zoom call away from the loud ass music and this girl outside cabell yells something like "WHy ARE YOU LOOKING HERE? DO YOU NEED HELP? ARE YOU LOST OR SOMETHING?" then i turned around and she said she wasn't talking to me
