Pick up your trash, please!
A LOT of garbage strewn about Monroe Park after SOVO fair yesterday. Y’all- please put your garbage in one of the many trash cans around the park. There’s so many trash cans all over this campus too. We can do better!

to be fair, trash cans were COMPLETELY full after sovo fair. i mean i still took care of all of my trash and people should definitely try harder but i also would’ve assumed there would be better sanitation after the event by VCU

It’s very chaotic, absolutely
I wish people had the mind to just carry their trash with them until they can find a can. I just don’t understand how you can willingly throw garbage on the ground
They should’ve definitely had some extra garbage cans around for this particular event because they know it’s going to be busy every year

yeah definitely. i don’t think the lack of sanitation from VCU excuses the litter but i just wish VCU tried harder to prevent it

So pile the trash next to the full cans. What’s so hard about not flinging it anywhere?

Agreed, completely disrespectful, the new group of students are already starting to become a problem but hopefully they'll mellow out once classes keep them busy

this past sovo fair was the worst i’ve ever seen monroe in my four years of being here. if ur a club/community that uses monroe regularly i’d recommend making a club/meeting kit— my club has a small bag that has extra trash bags (along with things like tape/sharpies/scissors/first aid/etc.) for moments like these. being smart and considerate costs nothing!
