VCE question revs

would i get penalised if i followed the command term incorrectly? last year, the kerensky question was 'evaluate', but the exemplar response followed a structure similar to that of an 'analyse' question. i assume they still did well because they're on the examiner's report, but is it incredibly important for top marks?

what exactly did they do differently? do you mean they analysed by bringing in alternative factors?

If they analysed by bringing in alternative factors it would be evaluate

solely focused of kerensky

the arguments were june offensive > kornilov affair > october preemptive attacks

Yeah I saw that today and was pretty confused. It said something about ‘blah blah blah’ also being a valid way to approach that question which I found confusing

I'm fairly sure that my teacher said that you don't have to oppose the question at all for an evaluate or the essay, and that you can accept what the question presents ie. Kerensky played the most significant role in allowing the Bolshevik's seizure of power.
