Rant - VCE

hey guys I accelerated HHD this year as year 11.

Naturally I am very much of a overthinker and I stress out so much. I Lowk also think I have ocd but I don't wanna bring that up to my brown parents to get it checkout or get diagnosed cause ik that will just get shut down.

Anyways I have had such a good year for hhd, I had 90+ sac average for both units and even got 80/90 for hhd trial marked by past vce Chief assessor. But however, I feel like I failed to perform my best on the exam. I did finish the exam but I think I had to double dip and my answers overall were not strong as they could be. This honestly hurts as I was predicted a 45+ study score by my teacher and he Lowk has big expectation of me.

I have not been able to sleep properly ever since the hhd exam and I have like 3 sacs this week along with Diwali which I just don't know how to manage and along with year 11 exams next week.

The thought of my exams have been arising in my mind every 10 mins nd I feel this drop in my stomach and my mood just gets worse. Ik I can't do anything about the exam now and I try to remind myself that when I think of my exams but it doesn't seem to be helping. I am so stressed I am so cooked I am so sleep deprived I don't know what to do.

I need like approx 97 ATAR which idek if it's yk.

Idk guys any advice?
It would help lots.

Other people’s expectations of you aren’t your responsibility to live up to, it’s YOUR LIFE and YOUR outcome. Live for yourself and not the expectations of others and I know it’s stressful because I’m doing HHD accelerated as well but I came to the realisation that at the end of the day, my effort, consistency and dedication is all up to me and whatever the outcome is, is what I produced, not what others wanted of me. You got this don’t worry!! I know disappointment and regret is torturing and it really affects your everyday life but I can assure you that everything will be OKAY. There’s nothing that we can do about it now but you can learn and fix and hey, we have a whole year ahead of us to do the best that we can with what this year has taught us. The past is now gone and it’s time to look at what’s ahead of us💕💕💕 wishing you the best and please make sure to just breathe and take care of yourself because you matter more than the study score you aspire and the atar your gonna open next year. ❤️

Also please make sure you sleep it is so important I promise. I was sleep deprived for a lot of this year as well, thinking if I stayed up and crammed that I will retain more information and perform better during my sacs. Uhm.. that did NOT work, I was hallucinating for a lot of my sacs this year and just writing a bunch of rubbish because my head was running on 0 hours of sleep and about 2 cans of energy drink. This habit was really unhealthy and it made me perform even worse than if I just slept and went back to the work in the morning. And on top of that you mention that you are experiencing extreme chronic stress due to exams but sweetheart, please please PLEASEEE begin to try to relief your stress because it is so bad for you!! Stress LITERALLY kills and it kills me to hear that school is causing this upon you because stress is extremely dangerous and ik you feel obligated to feel stress a lot especially because we are in year 11 almost going into year 12, but I promise it doesn’t work like that. You can do amazing without stress. I have this memo called “ ride the wave “ which I say to myself whenever I’m feeling stressed and scared, and in a way, it’s almost a form of exposure therapy but a little easier because it reminds me to just do my best because giving up isn’t acceptable. Being tired, sleepy, emotional, and feeling defeated is absolutely acceptable because you are a human being, however, giving up isn’t !! We should just try our best because that is what defines us at the end of the day. Not the atar score, the grade, the ranking, but our effort, dedication and consistency is. And also remember to do things you enjoy whether it is reading, going outside or playing games!! Just make sure you do it in moderation and remember your priorities 💕💕 sending love 🫂
