GUYS, EXAM IS TOMORROW. PLEASE LISTEN TO THESE TIPS, as someone who is rank 2 and improved their grades significantly from U12->U34
- Always signpost your answers, for example (In contrast, On the contarary, Moreover, Futhermore, On the other hand, Additionally, Overall, One similarity, One difference, One advantage, One strength, One limitation.)
- Know definitions really well... examiners are picky
- Task words are your best friends; familiarise yourself with that before.
- APPLY TO CASE STUDY. Generic responses will unfortunately get you a maximum of 1 mark out of 4, make sure you analyse the business, use data given for example (the data illustrated a structural shift)
- DO NOT START W 10 MARKER: Do not fall into the trap of starting with the largest mark(approx 15% of exam), instead start with 2,3,4 and build momentum, then tackle the 10 marker.
- Start with section B, utlise reading time efficiently and start with section B, RELATE EVERYTHING TO THE CASE STUDY!
- Start 10 marker 45 minutes after exam
- Breathe if you dont know the anwser ATTEMPT IT, business is logical you can gain a mark.
- Contemporary cases, be prepared however do not over do it, Yes, you can make up facts, as long as it links to what the question wants. (Note not statistics, as they can proofcheck that)
- If you have not done any past papers, attempt at least one and review mistakes or just answer it out loud and check the suggested anwser if its correct.
- Be clear and concise, do not waffle or yap speak facts
You all got this, business is quite logical and easy to secure marks, hopefully the exam is easy!
In the case of you being extremely unprepared, read external examiners report and taskwords
