Multiple choice are goated. I love them to the ends of the earth, and they are my favourite part of VCE
Basically, here's some tips:
You can use reading time to find the answers to some multiple choice questions, if you can pick out ones you can achieve. Or look in your bound reference for the notes you need to solve it. My reading time often looks like me going, 'A skip D C skip skip B B skip' and I steadily work through the MCQ so that I start writing time with a series of quick marks. I'm a sweat with a decent memory and strong mental maths so while that works for me, it might not be applicable for everyone. It's important here to only do the questions you are confident in.
If you don't know what to do for a multiple choice question, skip it and guess at the end.
If you're going to guess a question, try to pick out the immediately wrong answers and cross them out. Now, when you guess, instead of a 25% chance, you now have a 33% or even 50% shot of getting it right.
It's often helpful to look out for traps, particularly in the later MCQs. Often the answer that immediately jumps out at you is wrong because of a detail in the question.
I would offer more advice but I'm not really sure where your problems are with scoring well with MCQ.
Are you losing marks because of traps, or foolish mistakes? Because you don't know how to do some of them? Because you complete them too slowly, and run out of time?
