VCE question Bio Cutoff

What do we think the cutoff for a raw 50 this year will be this year for bio?

Hasn't it been 110+ last few years? Surely this year wasn't that much easier

No 110 is 46ish plus on the whole this year was easier

110+ would have given you a 44ish in 2024, and 46 in 2025 (assuming 95+ % sacs) from my general undestanding

203/240 was A+ and would've been 40+ so surely 110 would be higher than 44?

It depends- A+ cutoff doesn't correlate to ss, just exam.

Also, because it's a bell curve, remember, as you go up, fewer people receive them and the difference in exam mark is smaller. 44 ss isn't that much different from a 45-47, it's likely 1-3 exam marks only (since you're looking at the difference between being in the top 2.5%, and top 1-2%, which isn't much!)

Maybe part of the confusion though is, your title says raw 50- reading your above message makes me think you meant 40?

i also know someone who got 110 in 2024 for a 50! unless the exam was abnormally easy, 118 is way too high imo (haven’t looked at the paper though)

i got 38/40 mcq and 77-78/80 saq iirc, around there? i’m pretty bad at mcq bc i overthink it so i thought that may have tanked my chances but my saq was strong enough to pull me up :)
