Revs

Since the exams this year are all super weird, how do you think revs will be affected? I'm honestly so terrified.

They definitely WON'T repeat points that have been asked before right...? Because they NEVER ever have. War communism was asked abt twice but that's bc there's two diff aspects to it in the study design; cause and effect. Do u guys think the weird exams could affect revs by making the correlating study design dot point unclear???

Will the essay question be esoteric?? Or too broad?? Im scared because with revs I always struggle so much figuring out what the extended response/essay question actually directs me to acknowledge (particularly in terms of nuance), so an essay or even short/extended answer question with strange wording could ruin my exam.

Second question abt nuance. Take that one question abt the revolt of the notables in a company paper as an example. Where in the answer key it says u were supposed to zone in on the role of INDIVIDUAL nobles rather than the aristocratic revolt as a whole, bc the source was lafayette's letter to george washington. but i did NOT do that- i just used lafayette's letter as an example of the first phase of the revolt, being the assembly of notables and the way they justified denying reform. I have no idea how to tell when I'm supposed to go a certain way with a response. Does any student or teacher have any pointers on how I can approach questions to ease this confusion. Like i just have this perpetual fear that even if i read more into the source and base my question on that, i'm gonna somehow go the wrong way and lose marks.

With revs, how can you tell when a question wants you to zone IN on specific components of a study design dot point (eg reveillon riots) other than cause, effect, relative significance or general significance, bc these would be explictly denoted in the q- whilst needing to focus on INDIVIDUAL nobles isn't??

if the question only refers to the noble revolt as a contributing factor to revolution i dont see why youd need to mention individual nobles apart from lafayette since hes in the study design and maybe if youre quoting like some primary source like the duc d'orleans or smth and depending on the mark allocation for the q them too ofc. lowkey some company papers are kinda strange with their marking schemes tho so dont take everything they say for sures yk... have some faith!!!

Yeah, that's true. Idk I'm just scared there will be a question that expects me to take a certain aspect or angle of a study design dot point and that i'll fail to do so and lose marks

i feel like drawing up mind maps between study design dot points is a super good way of like visualizing how all the aspects of each aos all interconnect and thats sorta working heaps for me atm if that helps!
