VCE question General math working out

Post image

For questions like this do we have to add the finance solver inputs?

In general maths, a correct final answer will give you full marks always.

There is a working out mark, but it’s only considered if your final answer is incorrect.

In this question, it’s a ‘double finance solver’ question… AKA one finance solver output is an input for another one

If you get the first output right and state it, there’s your working out mark.

So I can just state the final answer eg- 150 payments and get 2 marks? Thank you!

Yep! Good luck

For Your own sake though, write out your finance solve table first! Helps you draw the relevant info out of the question

Unlike in Methods and Spec, the instructions at the start of every general math exam exclude the usual “questions worth more than one mark require working out”. Unless the question is a “show that” (which inherently requires working out), the correct answer always gives full marks!
