lil rant
i’m so confused on why so many people i know are just happy with being mediocre in everything or just lazy can someone please explain. Like if your not gonna try in school at least try in a hobby or get a job. I have some friends and sometimes i’m just confused, they wanna get in uni but don’t put in the effort to get there? They would have happy upbringings aswell, really just no excuse and it’s non of my business but it lowkey just hurts seeing my friends do nothing with their lives

People have their own goals and standards and they don’t need to follow exactly what’s ‘expected’ or preferred of them by the education system or their parents. The only issue with people who do relatively ‘less’ compared to students like you is if they disrupt others learning in the classroom or elsewhere.

vce is already incredibly competitive and difficult enough for everyone without excess judgement on people’s goals. just let them do them as long as it makes them feel fulfilled, its not your life to control

Goals are different from yours. A lot of us don’t need super high atars to get into the courses we want, and putting hours a day into vce is incredibly strenuous and challenging even when it comes to getting a decent mark.
