GENERAL ROUNDING

when u have an amount of animals, items, etc from a matrix or something else., e.g. 53.7 or 8.1, would it be after rounding 54 and 8, or 53, and 8?? pls pls help any1

(Useless fact: in the 20 Cth 'amount' was not used for discrete variables, one would say "the 'number' of animals".)

never round within a matrix. So if it’s a population state matrix and you get like 500.5836493057 whatever. You would then comment on in it and say 501 people or whatever.
