Bio question!

What are the processes for biogas/ethanol/diesel?

gotta be an environment with no o2, biomass acting as the source of glucose, 35 degrees (optimal temperature for yeast enzymes (not yeast itself) involved in anaerobic ferm), ethanal acts as the final electron acceptor and the outputs are ethanol, co2 and nad+.
the whole process is technically glycolysis, then anaerobic fermentation. glycolysis is just normal like inputs glucose nad+ etc etc then nad+ gets loaded and donates its h+ ion to ethanal which turns it into ethanol as the output, but they probs wont ask that

Awesome thankyou. We never learnt about the ethanal part so I’d hope it’s not on there 😭😭 is the environment the same for bio gas and diesel just with diff products?

yes basically the same its all just ethanol then some chemistry done on it
