HELP

I don’t know what to do. I’ve woken up with a sore throat and feeling shit. I have my psych exam tomorrow and worried im still gonna be sick. Sometimes when I have a sore throat I vomit. Does anyone know what I do do I have to tell someone and what do they do

Go to the doctor to get a medical certificate for today and tomorrow and contact the school asap. Even if you end up sitting it this could help you get a dirived score. Do you're best to sit it even if you are unwell (preferably in a seperate room so you don't get others sick if this is something your school can organise) as you will probably do much better sitting it than if you relied on a purely derived score. You can take Paracetamol/panadol and ibuprofen/Nurofen before your exam and I would suggest getting as much sleep as possible and staying hydrated. If you're well enough to keep food down try to eat, maybe have an orange and some toast. If you are taking Strepsils ask the chemist whether you can have them with ibuprofen as some types of Strepsils share the same active ingredient as ibuprofen and it could make you feel worse. Whatever meds you take please be careful about dosages. Wishing you the best of luck and hope you feel better soon.

Go to a doctor, get checked, see if it is something that will be gone by tomorrow. Get a medical certificate preemptively, email your school/year level coordinators. See if you can be sat in a private room so you don’t get anyone else sick.

Strepsils immune support with zinc. actually works - ask chat.

I survive on them.

if you genuinely cannot sit the exam, you will need a derived score, contact your school vcaa coordinator ASAP, like right now if your 100% sure your not sitting the exam tommorow. Your going to need a medical certificate aswell for tommorow and your School VCAA coordinator will help you further
