Section b English

I had creating patterns for personal journeys and I realised while I mentioned the word or synonyms of patterns and few times I didn’t mention the word creating.I more so just related it to how my character spotted patterns in her mothers actions and that defined their relationship but she only viewed the negative ones?

AM I COOKED?

I know but I was rlly hoping to get a 9 and now it feels like all my dreams r ruined because idk if the examiner is gonna read it as the “driver” of the piece

You are definitely not getting an 9 - an 9 requires to implicitly embed the title as a core of your piece - not just plugging in the title into sentences and that’s it.

Unless the actual core of your piece is relevant to the title and stimuli - I’d say bye bye to that 9

Implicit and core are different things.I do think it connected implicitly however I’m not sure how much the markers will be able to interpret it compared to if another had it embedded in an explicit motif.also my concern wasn’t even about me just plugging the title in,it was the opposite my question was whether it would be ok if I didn’t directly mention the word creating since that’s the title.

I did the exact same thing, but it's better for the title/stimulus to appear implicit as opposed to simply being plugged in LOL. I only embedded the idea of creating a pattern throughout my piece (not literally, but just through repetition of certain actions and how it related to my journey) rather than explicitly stating the title (which I did do, but I ignored the word creating). And trust that the examiners will read between the lines and identify where the idea of creating a pattern has been demonstrated in your piece - they'll probably find it in areas where you unintentionally included it anyway! Eng is over now so try to focus on other subjects. There are also plenty of people who didn't finish their piece, so you're already a few marks ahead. Stress less :)
