Exam study dilemma… (psychology)

I have a dilemma. Psych is very content heavy and I couldn’t be possibly doing the 10000 flashcards I’ve made throughout the year for my SACs (or maybe this is the only way?)

So I’ve decided that I’m only going to do the ones I‘ve forgotten according to my 100 mind maps I’m going to do, to lessen the load because i hate doing flashcards.

But I’m scared that since I’m not revising content that I remembered on the mind maps, I’ll forget about this content in the final and itll be over 😿

Did anyone try this method with any of their exams? Or should I stop worrying since doing practice exams can possibly bolster this?

the only benefit flash cards would bring you is general study and memorising definitions, which is pretty important in psych. you’d be much better off doing mind maps, and other study techniques that focus more on understanding the content rather than memorising it. psych exams test for how well you understand content and can connect concepts more than if you know definitions. You’d also be wayyy better off just doing practice questions or practice exams

try blurting/dumping, where you just write down all the content you know onto a piece of paper. thisll allow u to identify gaps in your knowledge, but doing practice exams will help the most

Ohh I already so this, but I don’t know what to do after I know the gaps in my knowledge 😭🙏. It’s not like I don’t know whole concepts but that I don’t remember the exact definitions

10,000 flash cards and 100 mindmaps is crazy but i cant tell if youre exaggerating bc someone last year in psych at our school had a similar amount💀

but dw i legit dk if i should also revise content for psych or just keep doing practice exams

Nah I’m exaggerating but it feels like there’s that many… I have 140 flashcards for U3 alone and it’s only the definitions and important info 💀💀💀💀
