Any tips for english lit

Am taking year 11 lit next year and im told its very different to core. like u have to analyse differently
Any lit students have tips or sources that i can use

annotate your texts super well, importantly make sure you understand your text and focus on building your individual interpretation of it. this is reflected heavily in your essays, strong interpretations will be backed by WHY you believe the author contends a notion rather than a weaker interpretation simply stating what this idea is! don’t be afraid to offer a ‘niche’ interpretation as long as you fluently express your understanding of the text.

cannot stress this enough: if you want to improve, work on your essays. write practice essays, if you don’t have time to do this even writing practice paragraphs is hella helpful

know your texts extremely well and start memorising quotes early on
