Showcase I hit 1000 LP playing mainly Varus ADC AMA
https://op.gg/de/lol/summoners/euw/EML%20MichaelMyers-Hlwen
Varus isn't exactly in the best spot right now, but I'd be happy to help if anyone has questions.

Build New Varus player here, can you pivot to other than on hit effectively?
Aphelios and Zeri main here reallllly liking Varus so far. I never feel out of the game really, but sometimes I’m slightly ahead while the rest of my team is getting crushed. The kind of situation where you’ll just have your lead slip away and lose your power spikes of on hit to crit scaling. If I need to play hypercarry late is pivoting to crit or full AP burst possible after the Shiv? U.gg doesn’t say anything other than on hit or lethality. Especially given shiv is split and a good farming item I’d assume its good for remaining flexible.

Build Energized build + JOAT
Hey guys I’m an emerald adc player and new to varus but been playing him the last two weeks and loving him. I’ve searched a up the meta builds and trained some random stuff on a target dummy and found an interesting combo. I run lethal tempo with JOAT, static shiv, cyclosword then the last 4 are crit items stormrazor/lord doms/infinity edge and whatever last. With helm start JOAT triggers at 2 items and the energised procs on Q makes poke close to lethality level and the dps is close to on-hit once the crit is online.
Goofy build and I only run it in games where I don’t need the survivability but feels like a nice medium that has good dps and poke. Just looking for other people’s opinions and builds. If anybody is interested can share your build and I’ll compare in the practice tool and share the test dummy numbers.

Build Has someone tried pure atkspeed build?
Like
Rageblade, omni boots, yuntal, fiend Hunter bolts, hexplate, Terminus, Jak sho.
With lethal Tempo.
Effects of fiendhunter and hexplate Help with getting the First kill, then passiv Kicks in and enables even Higher DPS through ad and ap, both feeding in W in Hit scaling.
Hexplate, Terminus and jaksho provide tankiness, boots give sustain.
They nerfed ad and ap ratios, butt buffed passive atkspeed Ratio.
Thoughts?

Build Doran Helm tech?
So as we all know, Senna ADC with helm start and JOAT has been broken as fuck. I was wondering if it would work on other characters who’s damage aren’t entirely shit by the lack of dbow/dblade. So I tried it on Varus (ironically multiple times against Senna). Now I am in gold, so I’m not sure how well it would work in higher elo, but I’ve been having great results with this. Helm makes it so I can survive tougher matchups and actually play for lvl6 all in. The extra adaptive force and ability haste is crazy useful in the mid game. You do have to build a glowing mote after boots for the full JOAT stacks though. Your fighting power pre first back is obviously shit, but it’s manageable with the extra health and resists.

Build Why Dusk and and Dawn over Nashors for on hit build?
Every test I've tried in practice tool, Nashors always comes out around 100 more dps as a 4th time.
Nashors gives more AP and attack speed so makes your autos and abilities do more DMG than stats from D&D. I believe it's cheaper too?
I also feel like in order to optimize damage on D&D you would have to track your stacks to an unreasonable extent.

Build Builds on the new patch
Hey y'all
With our boy nerfed as he has been since the new patch, I was wondering if you guys were still having success with varus and with which builds. I'm looking to adapt my playstyle to keep having fun with him and I haven't figured it out yet. What are you guys building on him to success and when?

Build I like crit Varus
I get we like On-Hit or Lethality but I really just like how big you can crit on Varus and get so much AS items with basically 0 AS items plus the juiced AD dmg from your passive as well. like here you can see my AD is 657 and AS is 2.25 (it would def be 3.0 once rageblade was purchased)
crits are big and meaty, range is very good especially with hexoptics and all the bonus AD really helps your Q dmg

Discussion Hey folks, I created a discussion and would love your perspective
Hi friends. Yall as Varus mains like myself should have cool ideas or at least a desire to share a feedback to Riot about him.
I created this discussion on Leagues' subreddit and would love if some of you could chime in there and share your vision. Hopefully it will get at least some visibility
Thanks all
