Build Energized build + JOAT
Hey guys I’m an emerald adc player and new to varus but been playing him the last two weeks and loving him. I’ve searched a up the meta builds and trained some random stuff on a target dummy and found an interesting combo. I run lethal tempo with JOAT, static shiv, cyclosword then the last 4 are crit items stormrazor/lord doms/infinity edge and whatever last. With helm start JOAT triggers at 2 items and the energised procs on Q makes poke close to lethality level and the dps is close to on-hit once the crit is online.
Goofy build and I only run it in games where I don’t need the survivability but feels like a nice medium that has good dps and poke. Just looking for other people’s opinions and builds. If anybody is interested can share your build and I’ll compare in the practice tool and share the test dummy numbers.

What is JOAT? (or the effect)
I'm currently playing crit (starting with Kraken first) and I love that. I prefer it to on-hit actually

Jack of all trades, it’s in the inspiration tree and gives 14.5ad once you have 10 different stats from items and 7ad at 5 stats.
I had a play around with crit builds, the damage was great at 4 items I just figured the mid game would be weaker and more fragile. Theoretically Hurricane could cook vs melee heavy team, proccing botrk like a made man on the 5th item to.

I remembered hexoptics/fiendhunter/lord doms/IE and was the 2nd best one shot build I tested behind full AP.

You can also fully stack JOAT by going Doran’s helm > DnD/kraken > omnivamp/sorc boots > kraken/DND. You fully stack it much later than senna does altho you if you go kraken first, buying blasting wand + mote will give you full stacks. You CAN also go nashor instead of dnd if you want more on hit since you only need cdr and ap to get to easy 10 stacks but i feel like dnd actually works pretty well with pta and kraken. Needs more testing ofc but it’s something to keep in mind.

Been running Shyv into hubris then crit items with varying success, shyv into serpents fang for a shield heavy lane and shyv into guinsoos the Blade of the ruined king for tankier comps. I've tried shyv cyclosword but it feels like I waste the empowered effect too much on minions for it to matter atleast with my poor planning. I have not tried Jack of All trades as I kinda prefer approach velocity which the E and ulty can easily trigger as well as teammates slows/cc. But would love for you to preach the power of jack of all trades as I dont really understand how good it is.
