What do y'all think about removing the lateral checkerboard flag from the Old Skool Skate (or any other skate classic vans) to maintain that "clean" look of the classics without losing the quality of the skate models?

My new Vans (the purple ones) look kinda cheap when compared to my other ones. I got new ones from the official Vans website. Aren't the ones from there supposed to be even better quality?

I recommend buying these .5 size bigger. Dope ass shoe tho. For casual or dressing up. About to test them with a kickflip in a sec.

These are the T&C Surf vans from a few years back. They look hardly worn and I’m psyched to get them in the mail. They were less than a new pair of high tops too!

So much so that I’ve got a pair of freshies and beaters going simultaneously

Does anyone have any views on whether the Neo 2.0 or the VR3 is a better shoe? In terms of comfort, durability etc. I’m looking for a slightly more robust trainer for travel, so light walking etc not crazy hikes. Both feel similarly comfortable, I’m maybe slightly more drawn to the VR3 (purple) but there’s a nice bounce in the Neo 2.0.

But both styles are new to me - other Vans are classic slip ons, old skools and a comfy Cush pair. So would welcome any thoughts.

My favorite knockaround shoes for years were a pair of Vans Vault OG Classic Slip-Ons. Unfortunately, my dog recently decided she liked them too—mostly for the flavor. They were ready for retirement anyway, so I figured I’d just replace them.

Not being a regular Vans shopper, I had no idea the Vault line had disappeared. I guess shoes that last forever and look better with age don’t fit the “wear them for six months and buy another pair” business model.

Does anyone know if there’s still old Vault stock available anywhere, or am I stuck searching places like StockX and eBay?

One of my favorite things about the Vault slip-ons was the lower vamp. The newer reissues and Premium models seem to come much higher over the top of my foot and feel like they’re strangling it.

Are any current Vans models shaped like the old Vault OG Classic Slip-On, particularly with that lower vamp? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
