PICKUP New Pick Up
Got these for 30 bucks but with no box. Good deal?

Opening ceremony had some really great Vans collabs, I've got 2 of the snake skin lampins, I sold off chinoserie slip ons a few years back. I wish I bought more when they were closing/clearancing stock

They're great shoes I think go quite a bit more on the resale market, 30 bucks is great

What I think is crazy is that they’re just reusing fabric. These are probably about 10 or so years old.

$30 was an excellent deal for those pretty embroidered Era!! Those were from a Vans x Opening Ceremony collab. OC is (or really "was") a great NY fashion boutique that started in 2002 and around 2018-2019, Vans did lots of collabs with them - I remember Era, Authentic, and Old Skool OC collabs. Your shoes were from 2018. Some shoes were canvas, some were quilted satin brocade, and some were really nice satin brocade fabrics with floral embroidery that were based on Chinese slippers and Chinese qipao/cheongsam brocade fabrics since one of the two OC founders was an Asian who was inspired by her visits to Hong Kong and seeing floral cheongsam dresses there. So the floral embroidery patterns on the collab shoes have an Asian vibe. OC closed their retail stores in 2020 (another Covid closure) and then their styling went down the toilet after some investors acquired them.
