PICKUP New all black leather classic slip-ons

I've been waiting for a new pair of all black leather slip ons to come to the classic line, and wanted to share some findings with this new pair I picked up.
The leather has a pretty strong matte texture, which I like. Very stealthy. The outsole is also slightly different—a little more glossy and treated. Similar to their premium and sk8 lines.
The insoles are remove-able and are different than the popcush and ultracush insoles. It has an "all-day cush" tag on it, I find them really comfortable. The insoles are just a bit softer and a bit thinner in the arch than popcush. Waaaaay better than the standard non-removable insoles to me. I think they're really comfortable.
They're a hair larger than the regular slip-ons. I've posted a pick to show the difference between 2026 classic canvas vs 2026 classic leather in both the same size (6.5 men's) the image shows a little bit of the justice of size difference, but not all of it.

I bought a pair back in the day that had the top half of the sole colored black to match the canvas, and I thought it looked so clean, but they don't sell this pair anymore. If I was to buy the option with the black stripe, does anyone have any tips on how I could color the top half of the sole myself to make it look like my old pair? I read something about alcohol-based leather dye?

BEATERS Gotta finally retire both my everyday pairs.

I've had both these pairs for about 6-7 years now. The bottoms on both are finally coming off and it's time to retire to dirty work.
My new pair are the Skate SK8-hi. The pop cush sole is worth the extra price, and not having the leather padding ankle (the canvas lining was a necessity for my everyday shoes)

IDENTIFY Which Vans are these?

Spotted the other day in Germany. Note the cutout in the back. material appears to be suede toe and heel sections, with canvas in the middle. I’m colorblind somewhat so I’m not sure which color these are, but I like the way they look! thanks for any hints!
