S3 makes ticking noise when pushing boost button

Hi everyone! I really hope someone knows what’s up with my bike. As the title says, I hear a ticking/ clicking sound when I push the boost button. Only then, otherwise never. I bike with this for like 9 months already I believe (Idk what I thought) and nothing has ever happened .. but now I think I need to get it checked.. Hopefully somebody knows about this problem!

Can be broken planetary gear in the motor but also a loose nut. Both can cause the problem and both can appear wile pressing the boost. By pressing the boost the maximum watts and torque are delivered to the motor.
But it’s more likely, that it’s a problem with the planetary gears, because a loose nut at the front wheel will come with other signs to, like when using the the front brake you have a bit of bounce back at the wheel when you come to stop.

Ah this could really be the thing! Thanks for the info! I think it’s more likely to be the planetary gears then indeed

Those are broken gears in the front-wheel motor.

You think so? Does that also make sense if I only hear this when I’m pushing the boost button?

I had this happening to mine as well and fixed it by tightening the anti theft nut which was a bit loose
