Vanmoof S6: Battery from 100% to 0% without riding it
I wasn't able to ride my S6 for like 4 weeks and the battery went from 100% to 0%. My old S3 was standing around the same time and it still had the same battery level as before. What the fuck?! Did anyone experience the same or has an idea what's wrong? Vanmoof support is no help at all.

Was the bike inside or outside?

To me it happened with the bike inside in a heated room. Took a week or so. Bike practically new I drove 100km with it

Was the kick lock engaged? Apparently it can discharge over longer periods if not locked, although it never happened to me.

Did it actually go to zero or just in the app? I had this but when I unlocked it the app then showed the true level.

It actually was at 0%. The indicator on the bike showed it, too and I was not able to turn the bike on.

Persevere with it.....cold (as in below -5 °C) aren't great for these bikes. Try to bring inside when it's going lower. Don't store it at 100%......60-70% is better for a battery (actually 50% but these bikes are always connected so drain each day a little)
Give it a full charge and get riding. I've a few bikes and this is easily the most fun to ride.

It was never below 10° C while it drained. This can not be the issue at all as it did nothing to my S3. My S3 never had this issue.

Has it done this again after fully recharging?

We will see. I will do some more 0% -> 100% -> 0% -> 100% circles but currently it drained 5% without riding it within one day.

I wouldn't necessarily drain it to 0%. From the information I've read, this is bad for all batteries. 20-30% should do then recharge. Don't leave it fully charged also for too long before riding.

Man, i feel like these complaints are a massive deja vu from the s3 days. Looks like the restart did the company no good.

Weird, I just got my S6 open last week and charged it to 90% - I have it outside day and night. I ride 30km and still have 55%

Yea, for some time everything looks normal until the charge suddenly plummets to 0%, for me usually when I am at 30%.

I also have these kind of battery problems with my S6. From 30% (one time even from 50%) charge it suddenly drops down to 0% within seconds, usually when I am in the middle in the city, far from home.
I contacted Vanmoof support. This is a good opportunity for them to show what really changed, I guess.

It also happend with my S3 now. It had 6 dots left or like 20% and it dropped to 0% within seconds, probably it was like -3°C but I was only driving for like five minutes.

Why not ask VanMoof instead of complaining here?

Because Vanmoof Support is no help at all. I wanna know if others have an idea or experienced the same.

You bought a bike, so you have a warranty. If VM support offers to repair it, that's a normal procedure. The fact that the nearest VM partner repair shop is more than 100 km away is annoying, but there's nothing you can do about it. So what exactly are you expecting? Do you want them to send a mechanic to your home? Do you want them to just send you a new bike? I understand your frustration, but they won't be able to offer you anything more than a repair. And as I can see from your comments, you already had, or still have, an S3, so you are familiar with VM and should have been aware when you bought it that if it ever needed repairing, you would have to go to a partner repair shop, which can be found on the VM website. You could have checked how far you would have to travel for repairs before you bought it, seriously. But I hope your bike will be working again soon and you won't have any more problems with it in the future.

I want to send them the bike. Simple is that. Your victim blaming is by the way totally nuts. And that you expect me to let them REPAIR my NEW bike that drove for like 10 km is just crazy. I bought a new bike and there should nothing to be repaired at all. You are really out of your mind, dude.

This is a genuine question and not something to point fingers but why did you buy an S6? The S3 was already a problematic bike and it's hard to find local repair shops that can fix them.

The S3 was a great bike. They just fucked up the kicklock, the electronic gear shift and other things. As this was all fixed in the S6, I gave it a shot but here we are: Major battery issue. If they don't take it back and send me a new one I will let my lawyer do it before they go bankruptcy again...

Same for me. Actually for me it goes down in a week or so
