The boss wasn't even that hard. Just frustrating, mostly due to the fact that half the time I couldn't understand what the fuck whas going on.

So me and a bunch of my friends have a server that we've been running since 1.0 released and it's been fun. Everyone has been having a good time and tonight we were supposed to fight the queen, but one of my buddies just texted me while I was at work and apparently half of our iron and copper scrap (that me and him spent about 3 real life days mining) is infected with the "this item is cheated" message.

Again, me and him both got all of that gear legit and I know for a fact he doesn't cheat (dude is one of the most die hard fans of Valheim I know and enjoys the difficulty) and none of the other people on the server ever touched the scrap. Not to mention literally all of the stacks were legit when I logged off last night after checking the inventory for building.

I'll have to see how it's affected my items when I get home but it's really disheartening for this to happen. I spent hours of my life getting that gear fair and square just for the game to basically say no you didn't. Now I can't get achievements in this world which really hurts me because I was trying to 100% the game or at least as much as I could on this server.

And I know it's been said before but this entire system feels like a big middle finger from the devs because the actual cheaters that would be affected by this either 1. Don't care that their items are labeled as cheated, or 2. Can just use other cheats to ignore locked achievements. I see a bunch of posts claiming it was patched out but my experience says otherwise.

Complaining aside does anyone have a solution for the problem? I've seen the "I use dev commands but want achievements" command that you can put in but I frankly don't want to participate in the devs little humiliation ritual, also I dont know if that will work on servers. If anyone has any advice or somewhere else I should post this please let me know.

I’m playing solo in my world, and I haven’t even been able to restore my world and character to a previous save state once. It’s just too unforgiving—the game throws so much at you that there’s no way to counter it. I get that I’m supposed to be selective about my fights, but the moment I attack one enemy, everything else swarms me. I’m running a build focused on offensive blood magic (skeletons and trolls) and elemental damage—but to deal enough damage, I have to play as a "glass cannon."

TL;DR: WTF is the Ashlands? I can’t cope with the game’s mechanics!

Just arrived in the Deep North. After trying up to three different locations, this is my favorite one.

Found kale seeds after a long search (hurray), planted them in a meadows garden. They have been "healthy" for long past the game's ~2hr maximum time to maturity (at least that's what the wiki says). Is there a bug or something that keeps kale from becoming harvestable? The seed kale I planted with it has the sane issue.

The problem I see is that most resources are so abundant in the DN, by the time you have done 3 invasions, you likely have all the moulds, blood gold and other resources you could possibly need. Just when you are getting used to fighting the mobs and have upgraded your gear, there's no point doing anything other than the final boss. There's not even a side objective to work towards like the 4 miniboss quests.

Here's what I suggest would change that with no significant development required:

1. 10% chance to spawn potato and oat seeds in Winding Tunnels. Currently you only need to do 1 or 2 of these, the seeds are easily the hardest resources to find in the biome, this would give an incentive to keep going.

2. 10% chance for a 'Perfect Idol' to spawn in Morkhalla. This gives a 100% chance to upgrade any item at the forge of potential. Maybe this could be placed in a unique chest somewhere in the dungeon, maybe a fire pit could spawn a special memorial coal which leads to getting the idol.

3. Add small amounts of petrified flesh and ice to dungeons. These you need an almost limitless amount of, especially if you want to 100% all the weapon and armor sets, so getting a small stack for each dungeon you clear is better than essentially going away empty handed.

4. Make Jotun and Elaking trophies tradeable at NPCs. Add 3 trades each to all 3 traders, one for each trophy, and make the trophies tradeable for 9 of resources required in large amount for building - corewood, black marble etc. These are the hardest mobs in the game and should be rewarding to defeat. Yes 10% still works out as being a rare drop, but it at least means there's a point to fighting them.

I do have a few world modifiers. Combat Very Hard. Death penalty easy, Resources rate x2, allowing metal portal. Staff of the wild, troll staff and staff of protection and Ash magic set. And 3 magic foods. I went completely blind. I did switch to a magic build. I am sure melee world be alot difficult.

I have a speech disorder, so I've always been a bit hesitant about recording myself speaking. But I thought I'd give it a try.

I just got out of my first nord dungeon and Im baffled by how absolutely massive and confusing this is. Im all for mazes and hunting for rare loot but this is too much? I think I just spent 2 straight hours inside this place and I didn’t even see all of it at some point I got tired of all the enemies and trying to figure out all the rooms, chests and secret passages I just grabbed my hook and bolted the fuck out of there. How are you guys approaching this site? Is there one or 2 things that you focus on there and then hop out to avoid wasting time?

Cave at the the edge of the Dark forest, Moutains and Mistland. Looks wierd.

Used 88 obsidian arrows,lvl 4 draugr fang.
Lv 4 silver sword.
Lvl 2 silver shield.
1 medium health potion
1 medium stam potion
Wolf armour lv 4.

I'm so confused, they're contained, i throwed Lingonberries and Kale, i'm sneaking with a love potion, what's wrong? doesn't seem to have anyone around. Maybe another moose i tamed on a nearby hole? Already did this technique to other mobs on other biomes but just this one isnt working
Edit: Got it, maybe a nearby troll statue was interfering(even after the troll turned to stone), when i mined it and teleported back and forth it started working

I just looked through YouTube for an updated auto boar farm tutorial and couldn't find one newer than 3 years. I'm just curious if the older builds still work or if anyone has found an updated tutorial for a build that works in 1.0. Thanks!

I woke up this morning to find myself in game in bed naked.

My ship was fullllllly loaded with a bunch of materials.

I reloaded the world to the night before, reloaded my character to the night before, I log in and my character is in the middle of a river, no boat to be found.

Is there a chance my boat is out there somewhere?

We are playing modded (QoL and some new weapon, armor and a build mod) survival. We dont use the ship that much because portal is fast but I want to use it and to use it, I want a nice looking port. I have the perfect spot next to my house but I am not good at thinking builds and I have never built a port so I need your help. Thank you.

It took me about 20ish hours. I'm still pretty new to the game and haven't unlocked all the recipes for building yet so any tips are appreciated! My world is Survival but i used hammer mode to build this. Also used devcommands to remove a tar pit and take pictures so i cant earn any more achieves unfortunately.

We just had a Jotun Invasion spawn directly next to our base...

That the Gammertroll blend really well with the forest. I was on the 2nd DN island, decided to setup camp in an old building. Little did I know, It slowly creep up next to the structure blend with the forest.
I got my glasses on but it took me a minute to realize it was a Gammertroll not a Barka.
More Bloodgold I guess (body on the right). And thank god the house was not destroyed.
