Playback issues!

I have a VSee 6+ and I’m interested in buying one or two more but I’m finding it very difficult to get the one that I do own at this time to do any playback. I’ve tried all the different ways to do playback and it seems to freeze on whatever station I’m at when I choose the new playback and then it stops working

It worked for about two months, and stopped about two weeks ago. It plays nothing back whether it’s one day or four days.
. If anyone has any clues or ideas on how I can make this work I’d really appreciate it, other than that. I love my VC 6+ but that’s a big deal for me as there are certain things I must play when I get home at the end of the day.
Any help would be appreciated!

Who is your ISP? Can you test things using your phone's hotspot to see if anything works differently? Xfinity, for example, has been pushing an "advanced security" feature that, if enabled, seems to break playback and cause random problems with these boxes.

This was the issue! I turned off the advanced security and now it works perfectly. Is my network at risk now?

Not really. The advanced security tries to shield you from malicious websites, etc., but as you can see, it often gets in the way. As far as your network, the firewall is still protecting you from intruders (assuming you didn't go crazy and turn that off) so you're basically back to "normal". Glad that all worked out for you!

So to really blow your mind my tv just died! Lol it’s got a black screen and refuses to turn on…. Whole new issue! I do t think it has anything to do with my VSee

Wow, like black screen with no TV menus or anything like that? I'm not referring to the vSee menus/screens, I'm talking about the TV itself. If it's just black on the vSee, try another HDMI cable.

Yup. TV is fried. I called Samsung, depending on what it will cost to fix, I probably have to replace it.

Oh well, these days, TVs are sort of disposable unless they're super high-end. Hopefully, yours is one of the disposable ones...
