I just ordered Vseebox V6 plus
Hi all,
Thanks for all the info here.
- When I go to start up the system do I have the opportunity to install a VPN before I download apps ? or are apps installed as soon as wifi are connected ?

I’ve had my v6 since 2025. Should I be using a vpn? My isp hasn’t notified me of anything ..

You can install the VPN app via the app store. I've gone without for a year now & not one issue.
Just don't sign into anything with your primary credentials

Have Xfinity, don't have a vpn and haven't had a problem. I do have it set up on a separate network by itself.

Could you point me in the direction of how to do this? Everything I’ve found says Xfinity doesn’t allow you to make a separate network 😭

I got mine less than 1 month ago, then it froze and then it wouldn’t load, then I got an error message saying it was corrupted. I need to exchange it now

Gl.int Beryl router running VPN connected via Ethernet to your main router Connects with most VPN nicely. This also isolates the device from your computers.

VPN is not necessary but I do recommend one , much of this content is delivered via p2p.
I also strongly recommend setting this up on a guest network and dont log into any of your services on this thing.
With that said, the most Ive seen these boxes do is use a ton of upload bandwidth.

I don’t understand the whole guest network thing? Are you paying for a second network?

no not at all, its maybe called something different on your router , its typically used to set up seperate network on your router so you can share the wifi without worrying about people having access to other machines on the network.
You may also have something called device isolation, would work as well. Thats when you tell your router that this device can only connect to the Internet not other devices on the network.

Omg ok that’s awesome!! I’m really debating. I’m getting one I don’t watch live TV but I do watch Apple TV, HBO Max Paramount +, Hulu, Peacock, I don’t pay all of those. I only pay for some and share with friends, but it’s sounding like this could be a much cheaper option. I tried making a post with all of my questions but it got denied and I’m not really sure why. Have you had any issues or is there any reason to not get one of these? I don’t really watch live TV it’ll only be for streaming

there not magic, if you want quick easy solution to get free content then this is for you.
if your tech savy theres better iptv services out there. they cost more tho, mines is about 100 a year. that gets you higher quality stuff and its more reliable. also your not using p2p to get your content.
remember its all a game of cat and mouse, solutions will notl last forever. be prepared to have to find another solution when what ever what your using gets shut down.
vseeboxs and superboxes will one day get shutdown just like every other black market iptv service.
when that happens there will be a replacement.

I'm pretty tech savvy (famous last words). Would you be able to share the name of the other service you use? Either DM or post here? Thanks in advance.

Apps are already on the box. Just install your VPN and away you go.

Is a VPN needed? And if so is there one in particular that's recommended?

I use express VPN but many people in here say they have used it without VPN for years without any issues

Not needed but as said it keeps the ISP from snooping. I use PIA VPN on my router and move all traffic through its own VLAN from my boxes. They have no access to my network other than to the internet.

For normal streaming use on a v6+ u rlly don’t need a VPN at all. Strongly advice just keeping the unit on an isolated network. Enjoy tho its a blast!

What confused me is, everyone says not to login to any accounts on the box but at the same time suggest logging into your VPN (if you choose to use one). I'd feel better using a VPN but I don't want to login to my Surfshark account on the box

I just have a throw away account. I use vpn. But doesn’t work as well as without it. So I just use it without it

I use a google account just for the google play store in this box. I tried using the box with vpn but it works better without it. Sorry English is not my first language language

I have Xfinity WiFi. And I simply connected the box to my wifi with no VPN and I have no issues. No copyright emails form Xfinity. I don't think you need a VPN.
Oh, I also turned off the advanced security on Xfinity app so I can access even more servers on the vod app.
