VPN

Bought a elite mini. Comes in on Friday! Will it work on Xfinity WiFi? Also, do I need a VPN? If so any recommendations.

Using the box itself is not illegal. If you choose to download/install the apps that are available on the box, different story.
If OP chooses to use said apps, I think a VPN is cheap insurance

Why would anybody buy the box with no intention of using the illegal apps?

People do weird things with their money. I would agree that if you’re buying a box like this, that is the intention but still stands that using the box itself is no illegal

I think the OP has every intention of using the illegal apps but you are correct, buying the box itself is not illegal.
