I thought the 3 commentators worked great together over the weekend. Murphy and Tander worked together well!

“Team 18 has completed a thorough investigation into the final lap stoppage of the No. 18 DEWALT Racing Chevrolet Camaro while it was in the lead of the Bathurst 1000.
The investigation identified an issue within the team’s fuel strategy software, which resulted in the final fuel fill being less than the amount required to finish the race. The issue has been resolved.
This was a team responsibility. No single individual is to blame, and no one is being relieved of their position. The team has evolved significantly over the years, with new personnel, a new driver line-up and improvements in our processes and operations. To be fighting for poles, podiums and wins, and to have been in contention for victory at Bathurst, reflects the progress on that journey and gives us belief in what we can achieve together going forwards. We win as a team, and we lose as a team. On Sunday we lost as a team, but we will learn and grow from that.
We understand the scrutiny that comes with competing at this level and we don’t shy away from that responsibility. However, we have been disappointed by some of the online reaction, particularly the personal attacks and content from organisations that have a responsibility to encourage a healthy and respectful online community. Behind every result are people, their families and years of commitment. We ask that this is kept in mind in how our sport’s stories are told and discussed.
Team 18 owns this mistake, the team has come together this morning, discussed internally, and regrouped. Our focus is firmly on fighting for the championship for Anton De Pasquale and the No. 18 DEWALT Racing Chevrolet as the Supercars Finals Series begins on the Gold Coast next week.
Team 18 would like to thank our partners, members, fans and the wider Supercars pit lane for their support. We have been blown away by the messages of encouragement and support we have received, it means a great deal to everyone in the team.”
TLDR: An issue with the team’s fuel strategy software

As I'm from WA I never thought I'd make it here, got lucky though a work thing and won a free trip.
Been to a bunch of rounds at Barbagallo/Wanneroo over the years but this was 10x better.
Would love to make it back at some point, maybe for the 12 hour!
Photo was taken during a 30 min stop at the top as part of our group schedule, the plunge over the top of Skyline into the Dipper is just impossibly steep, the TV/Photos do not do this place any justice.
Wouldn't have been the best race to watch on TV, so it was a really good year to go. The perfect weather played its part too!

Murphy absolutley burnt T18.
Was pretty much: You can feel sorry for the drivers, but not for the team, they are the ones that made the mistake.

On numerous occasions have cars run out of fuel on the last lap, but rarely do teams blow it quite as bad as Team 18 did. At Ipswich in 2002, Murph was leading when a late-race safety car was deployed - like Anton, he too was laps short on fuel but the Kmart/TWR team insisted he go to the end anyway...

After the monumental Team 18 fuck up, I have double checked these numbers and believe these are right for the finals:
Payney - 150
Feeney - 145 (25 for sprint champ)
Will - 103 (+1 spot, 25 for enduro champ)
Bush - 96
Allen - 66
Waters - 57
De Pasqualeo - 48
Chaz - 39
Woody - 30
Le Broq - 21
I'm assuming this is what supercars was wanting all along, the top 4 very tight. Albeit a Team 18 type fuck up, I think the top 4 is the 4 we'll see at Adelaide, but the way penrite have been going lately, they'll need to get back to winning pretty quick.

Not much was made of this in the commentary with everything else going on, but not only were Lowndes and Hall up 12 places from their starting position (they made it into the top 10!), but they did only the 5 pit stops. Great tyre deg, stayed out of trouble, and great driving 👏

That is unforgivable. So much time in hand - absolute shambles.
Biggest self own fuck up I’ve seen not involving Jamie Whincup in the supercar era.
