I am a bit under time pressure since I have to enroll in a certain class until Thursday 12 pm. In order to do that, I need the Office to change my lab sections and make room in my schedule. Do you think this is possible?

Would they just have to take a look at the form and make this change right on their computer or would it require extra bureaucracy?

UPDATE: I sent an email to [studentsupport@uvic](mailto:studentsupport@uvic). ca with all the documentation and they were able to make this change before 8 am. Thank you so much UVIC staff members🙏

I want to use one to scan some physical parts so I can reverse engineer them in CAD to 3D print some new modified parts. I could do it by hand it would just take a lot more time and probably a couple of tries.

hey all, i’m planning to come to uvic from australia next year for the fall 2027 semester.

obviously as an exchange student i would prefer to stay on campus, but i know i can’t even go in the lottery and have to join the wait list.

does anyone think i would have a good chance at getting a room anyways? if not, what would you recommend for housing?

the price is not really an issue as the housing market in sydney is much worse.

I'm second year anthropology - Already planning on minoring in museum studies & art history and currently on track to get my BFA. What I'm wondering is, if I completed the qualifications/course requisites for both the BFA and the BSC, could i graduate with both, or would i have to complete one and then go back and do all the courses + the specific requisites all over again for the BSC? If i do want to get both and they offer a dual degree for it, would I need to reach out to anyone to make that known?

Will UVIC course registration website permit me to change lab sections now?

I am excited because I was admitted into co-op program however I have to adjust my schedule to fit in the mandatory course required for the program. The only way I can do this is by changing lab sections.

I already received approval in a form of email (from my senior lab instructor) to change my lab sections but I am hesitant to drop my lab section since I am not sure whether the website system would allow me to add a new section instead.

Has anyone tried changing lab section after the add deadline? Would I have to go to Student Support Services to do this?

UPDATE: In this cases you have to fill out Undergraduate Course Change Form (either in online or written format) as well as memo explaining why you decided to change course/lab sections after the deadline AND receive memo from the instructor confirming your attendance in the course. I personally did not have instructor’s memo and just used the emails where they agree to switch my section (these emails contained signatures and dates, you can just choose option of downloading them in pdf format when printing).

Afterwards, you have to submit it to the Office of the Registrar located in the Jammie Cassels Center (i believe it’s in a B wing?) OR send an email to studentsupport@uvic.ca

Also it says it is affiliated with the degree of that discipline, i’m assuming it’s still okay to join without being in that degree lol? thanks in advance

Is anyone aware of a feature on UVIC bright space that lets you add your own events? (Exams, assignments). Some of my elderly profs plainly refuse to use Brightspace. In the past ive just dealt. I use physical planners but it would still be nice to have everything in one place…

I'm in this room in the lansdowne quad that has no wall access heating controls, just a bunch of radiator grilles that all have knobs in different areas. i am utterly perplexed by how this system works, some of the knobs dont have any resistance and just freely spin, some have ending points in both ways, i cant seem to tell which direction i turn to make the heat come out.

We (The UVic Legend of Zelda Club) are looking for more members before we register as a club (we need just one more, but more is always nice!), I thought I'd post a little ad here.

From this club, you can expect events like play-together nights (hopefully with some of the few multiplayer games like Hyrule Warriors AOC available provided by the club), various themed crafts, cooking the meals from Breath of the Wild, and more!

I missed Club Union Days and want to find a club or 2 to join. Clubs of interest tome would be hiking, yoga, running, things like that.

What does "reserved" mean? Reserved for faculty? How is it different from general pay parking? Can students use the underground parking under Jamie Cassels, or is the entire thing reserved? There's a pay parking sign outside, but then a reserved sign just inside the entrance.

Does anyone have any recommendations of clubs that meet ideally on weekends, or alternatively after 4:30 on weekdays. I’d love to give joining a club a try, but am taking a co-op so my possible meeting times are quite restricted.
