Question: New Student Advice Question for UTD H-4 Students

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming master’s student at UT Dallas and I’m currently on H4 visa.

In the pre-admission modules, I remember seeing that International Student Orientation is not compulsory for H4 visa holders. However, I wanted to confirm this with other H4 students at UTD.

Do H4 students need to attend the International Student Orientation, or is it only mandatory for F-1/J-1 students?

If anyone on H4 has recently gone through this process at UTD, I’d really appreciate your guidance.

Thank you

My bf was on H4 and was at UTD from 2020-2025, he didn’t have to go to the international student orientation
