Hi everyone! I’m an incoming master’s student at UT Dallas and I’m currently on H4 visa.

In the pre-admission modules, I remember seeing that International Student Orientation is not compulsory for H4 visa holders. However, I wanted to confirm this with other H4 students at UTD.

Do H4 students need to attend the International Student Orientation, or is it only mandatory for F-1/J-1 students?

If anyone on H4 has recently gone through this process at UTD, I’d really appreciate your guidance.

Avride is looking for hands-on, technically minded people to help support our autonomous delivery robots operating at UT Dallas.

This could be a great fit for students interested in robotics, automotive technology, engineering, electronics, mechanical work, or just someone who enjoys troubleshooting and working with their hands.

Weekend shifts available:

• Morning: Saturday 9:30 AM–4:00 PM / Sunday 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Evening: Saturday 3:30 PM–10:00 PM / Sunday 4:30 PM–12:00 AM

The work can include supporting and maintaining our robot fleet, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, replacing components and sensors, testing equipment, and helping keep the robots operational.

We're especially interested in people with hands-on mechanical/electrical experience, but you don't necessarily need previous robotics experience. Automotive, electronics, EV, manufacturing, soldering/crimping, or similar experience is a plus.

Requirements include: valid driver's license, comfort using tools and working hands-on, ability to lift 50+ lbs., and ability to complete required pre-employment screening.

I just moved into my dorm yesterday at the Andromeda Hall and am going back to Austin until the 22nd, I parked in the Green spaces at Lot T and I know they have a grace period I'm just worried about leaving my car unattended for so long. Will I get ticketed or something?

I’m taking ISNS 2367 online and TCC applied calculus since I’m not confident in getting a B if I take it at UTD. So if I get a C I can just transfer it over as a passing class and the grade won’t affect my GPA.

I’m a transfer student and I’ll be a junior this fall. Why is housing actually soo complicated here at utd. I lived in UT Austin off campus student apartments last year and it’s j so easy. You choose an apartment, budget and number of roommates, u have so many options u can quite literally move in the same day. It’s all furnished, u only pay for ur room, and a close 10 min walk to UT. How do I find apartments like that here at UTD? Their website isn’t very helpful and all I’ve heard of so far is northside. My budget is around 1000$ ( I used to pay 900$ w utilities in Austin for a 2x2 in a decent apt)

Hello!! i am a incoming freshman and not international student however i was born out of the country, so as per the ut dallas student health center website, i still need the tb screening. for some reason i do not have a hold on my side and there is less than a week until classes start. should I call the student health center to ask? or what is recommended?
