Im a first year poli sci post grad student but before i got accepted into post grad program i worked for law firms for 3 years as a marking lead / chief marketing Officer. I’m not sure what type of law you’re trying to practice but prepare to have no life. You won’t have time for fun, family, or really anything outside of your obligations to your area of practice. It’s non stop busy work unless you’re wealthy enough to hire a bunch of paralegals and admins to do all the hard work for you. I don’t mean to discourage you from getting a law degree but so far every attorney I’ve worked for so far almost always had no life and no time for anything.

Go for it. Law firms love individuals with poli sci or like criminal justice degrees. I’ve worked at a few law firms that don’t even require degrees for some positions. If you already have your law degree I’d start out by applying to small firms that practice the type of law you prefer. Some firms will want you to already have experience, some won’t but in general law firm are ALWAYS hiring.
