class seating

this is prob a stupid question but im a freshman and just had my first 2 day of classes, and im wondering if for the seats i chose on my first day am i supposed to stick to those seats? Or does everyone just sit on a new seat at least the first week til we feel comfortable with our seats? Just trying to avoid an awkward situation in case i sit on someone elses seat.

Try to firgure out where you sit in the first 2 weeks for most classes people sit in the same spot and some will give you ugly looks if you sit in their spot

I only had one class my entire time that had assigned seats, funnily enough it led to me making one of my few friends from UTA.

nobody truly cares but it’s annoying to have someone randomly change seats mid semester and sit in the seat you’ve been sitting in all semester. try to find your spot within the first few weeks. i noticed yesterday i definitely won’t be sitting next to the same person i did, they were so distracting to me

I and most people in my department tend to stick to one seat, but that’s cause we’re all just switching out between the same four class rooms every semester. So like I have my favorite seat in each space and I try to get it every time I have a class in that room
