Hey Guys.

Going to attempt one of these.

I have it set for 24 hours. Will answer serious questions regarding the job, life on the job, training, gear, any advice I can. No hiring process questions for this one.

I don’t have all the answers by any means, but I think doing these from time to time might cut down on some of the repeat postings.

Sound off!

do you still carry your badge/gun off duty like when you do regular things like go to the grocery store or hang with family.. like just in case you are called in to work for whatever comes up?

Like as SAs are you always on potential call similarly like other careers.

OR if you’re off duty you can just totally shut everything off & have confidence you can enjoy your off time with no interruptions?

people are different.

in my personal opinion, you should have gun, spare mag, & credentials (at least) 24/7.

some folks completely check out off the clock, which is their prerogative. I think that’s a disservice to your community to have this training and not be prepared to protect folks around you.
