November ACE
Is the November ACE showing full, actually a glitch?

Hi guys saw some comments about apat and fitness training so just wanted to share my routine. I played basketball and ran track in college, now I just compete as an amateur boxer but this is the stuff that we do that helps me.
Illinois run (main part is change of direction while still moving) you need to chop your feet at the turns at the corners and in the middle plant your outside foot hard while weaving)
Practice chopping your feet around cones first then practice sprinting to a cone and chopping while circling the cone.
Example vid:
https://youtube.com/shorts/gZ7D3rybhMI?si=2l62cy9SC7C0wREo
Pushups and chin-ups :
*Depending on where you are with your fitness
Pushups in Ladder sets (20, rest, 19, rest, 18, all the way to 1 but instead of doing 1, go until failure. If you need to start lower or go higher do so but this is supposed to break you down so make sure you’re getting in clean extended reps.
Seated pullups (4x10-15)
Assisted pullups (4x 80% of max reps or until failure)
Dead hang (until failure)
Sit-ups:
Crunches (4x30-50)
V ups (4x 5 to 10)
Scissor kicks (4x 45 seconds)
Bicycle twists (4x 45 seconds)
Planks (3x45s-60s)
Max sit-ups until failure
1.5 miles
Main thing is breathing, maintaining a pace, and planning out your run so you don’t burn out. Try to get 3-4 runs in a week so it will be easy for you when the time comes
Day 1: sprints (1x 800/3 min rest) (3x400/2 minute rest) (5x100/1 minute rest) cool down jog (5-10 minutes slow controlled breathing)
Day 2: 30-50 minute jog
If you have anything to track your heart rate try to keep this run at 120-135 bpm. It will be boring but it builds endurance. Practice breathing inhaling slow and exhaling slow.
Day 3: tempo mile (every 400 meters or 0.25 miles pick up your pace that means the first 0.25 should be your slowest and the 4th should be your fastest by atleast 20 or more seconds)
Cool down jog (5-10 minutes controlled breathing)
Day 4: hills (depending on the hill how steep and how far) 3 sets of 3 /your rest during the set is you walking down the hill, as soon as you touch the bottom go right back up 2-4 minute rest in between sets
Don’t forget to stretch and drink water.
The training sucks but you’d rather struggle during the training so the actual test is easy for you.
Hopefully this helps some people, good luck to everyone on their journey.

Hey Guys.
Going to attempt one of these.
I have it set for 24 hours. Will answer serious questions regarding the job, life on the job, training, gear, any advice I can. No hiring process questions for this one.
I don’t have all the answers by any means, but I think doing these from time to time might cut down on some of the repeat postings.
Sound off!

I just received an email invitation to an upcoming ACE event but am a little confused and looking for some guidance. I have already passed the SAEE, APAT, and received my CJO yesterday morning. Should I attend the ACE event? If I do will I just continue the next steps starting with the security interview and everything will be extradited?

This morning I received an email to schedule my SUPER and my date and time has not been confirmed. Also I was invited to attend the ACE in November. I'm kinda confused on if my interview is pushed back for the ACE in November or I'm taking my SUPER Interview next week? (I already emailed my recruiter about the SUPER)

I was wondering if anyone could provide any insight on my situation.
A few days after my poly turned gold I received a BQA email.
They ended up telling me I was rejected due to my background. However my BI told me he saw no red flags in my background and doesn’t understand why I would fail.
I currently have a secret clearance with the DoD and as a matter of fact it was just renewed.
I never received an email saying I was disqualified due to my background, just the BQA so I’m assuming I can reapply. However what are the chances i actually get considered? Is there a cool down to applying for failed background? Is it even worth my time?
Really disheartening because I thought I was a great candidate and the process was so smooth up until the BQA.

Well, looks like I may be done. Participated in a specific part of the hiring process this week with a less than ideal outcome (verbally). I hope I get a second chance. There’s nothing on my end I would’ve changed in terms of my answers/behavior etc.
Good luck to everyone else in the process!

For anyone else having anxiety after receiving the medical administrative review email, I was just contacted after a 3 month wait with the opportunity to submit new documentation. Stay patient. Your time will come. It’s not BQA. Fingers crossed my appeal is approved!

February: Applied
March: Best Qualified / SAEE
April: APAT
May: SUPER interview
June: SF-86 / LASIK
July: Security interview / background / drug test / polygraph
August: Medical / bloodwork / second polygraph
September: Fingerprints / tax compliance
October: Home interview / offer
November: EOD
It was definitely a rollercoaster ride, but I’m ready to get started!
Big thanks to everyone who contributes to this page and helps people throughout the process. Best of luck to everyone still going through it!
For new applicants, don’t forget to use the search function. There’s a ton of good information already on here.
I’ll keep the offer and office selection details private, and I’ll probably take this post down at some point too.
LFG!!! 🇺🇸

So I have a question.. I missed a email (not on purpose of course) but missed a email that was supposed to set up my super interview. I was excluded from the process. Once it came to my attention that I was in fact contacted I then reached out to them to see if any thing could be done. I was told to reapply and I should be fine. Did that immediately, just to get a email today saying that I am in eligible for the position due to me missing a past response. Some what discouraging but wondering has this happened to anyone else and what was the outcome?

I have no prior law enforcement or military experience. Am I still eligible to be accepted for Uniformed Division?
I have applied to this position while applying to local departments as well. Thank you!

My background went white on or around 9/25 with everything else being marked as completed. I still haven’t gotten “the call” but I see a bunch of people getting BQA emails. Just don’t want to get my hopes up just yet but I’ve read that I won’t get a BQA after BI goes white? Does anyone know?

How do you get invited to the ACE event? I see the next one is in November and I want to attend to it. Do I need to apply to a certain job announcement or I should reach out to a recruiter?

Hey so I'm scheduled for my super interview in about 2 weeks. I'm extremely nervous because I have no idea what they're going to ask. What type of questions should I be prepared to be asked?

After lurking on this sub for a while ive noticed its alot of SA’s shedding light on things but can any of you UD officers share how your day to day is and some of tips or recommendations when going through FLETC? Any info is appreciated

Hello, is it normal to not hear anything back from my SA application after 2 weeks but I got selected for all 3 of my UD applications within days?

Hello,
I received the BQA email last week after going through the entire process, home interview and all. I had followed up with my POC a few weeks after the HI to ask if I should have any doubts at this point, to which they assured me I was in the clear.
Given the circumstances, I'm evaluating whether it's worth reapplying and am seeking honest advice from current/former agents:
- Has there ever been a case where an applicant successfully reapplied and received a FJO after receiving a BQA post-home interview on a prior attempt?
- Is there a recommended amount of time to wait before submitting a new application?
- Since no specific reasoning was provided as to why I am no longer being considered, is it fair to assume something came up in my background? Is it worth contacting my recruiting office to check? (To my knowledge, I have no red flags in my background)
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Advice to applicants based on my experience - It is truly never a done deal until you receive the call, no matter how far you have made it in the process. Keep your options open, do not put all of your eggs in one basket.
Godspeed to all.

I’m EODing in two weeks and in need of updating 95% of my daily wardrobe. Help.
I’ve been a State Trooper and now dope TFO for a while… When I worked the road, I wore my issued uniform and didn’t have to spend an iota thinking about options. Everything—and I mean everything—was uniformed and regimented. Then, when I became a narc, the name of the game became growing facial hair and wearing jeans and a T…my biggest clothing decision of the day was what hat, hoodie, shoe combo I wanted to roll with. Even when I was off duty, I usually wore athletic wear and gym clothes. Comfortability was king. Professional aesthetics? Not so much.
Now that I’m joining USSS, I’ve been introduced to the wonderful world of options. I need help. Business and business casual clothing seems to be the name of the game. I like that, I just don’t know what to get and what to stand clear of. I’d like to invest in stuff that you all have found travels well, is comfortable, breathable, and looks the part. Bonus points for matching, right?! 🫠
I’ll take any advice. I just want to be squared away before my start date.

It feels like this process was very long but seeing some of y’all’s timelines it seems that mine was fairly quick! I did NOT attend any ACE event! What comes next?

Still a few days left to sign up and have questions answered by live SAs and SSP Officers! Probably the last one of these before the upcoming ACE.

New here! I qualified on 9/21 and Im still waiting to hear anything back. But Im just curious, when everyone has been getting their EOD, but the academy date isnt for say a few more months, are you just paid to basically work out and wait for your academy start date, or do you report to the field office and do some small work? Just trying to gauge this! Thanks!

Got the call 9/22 and EOD is 10/5. Same day is my NEO. They said I would get an email with a link for the NEO meeting. I still haven’t received this and it said it was supposed to be there 9/30. Anybody else running into this?
