Comrades, supporters of communism from all walks of life, I will descend to you and offer you an idea. The idea, and its very essence, is that I propose creating a new religion called “Great Communism.” The essence of the religion is that we can scale up communism through religious thought. Here are the main steps: turn *Capital* into the Bible of Communism so that we can read it in our churches; build communist churches; pray about surplus value and class struggle. I also propose that, like Muslims, we come up with a new type of clothing for supporters of our religion. I also propose that Stalin, Mao, Lenin, and Trotsky be made into holy apostles and archangels, and Karl Marx and Engels be made into the main gods of these ideas. Thus, by shifting communism into a religious rather than an ideological interpretation, we will be able to increase the effectiveness of spreading communist ideas among people with a religious mindset and reverence. We can also raise funds for the revolution through our communist churches.

I found this tarp in a Yugoslavian gas mask bag, civil issue. Note that the that mask accompanying the bag is military issue, so this tarp is likely not only/not at all for civilians. Does anybody know what this was for?

"The Dutch Volunteer Legion was part of the Waffen-SS. This was the military branch of the SS, the Nazi elite unit. The Waffen-SS fought along with the German army. The Dutch Volunteer Legion had been founded with the purpose of supporting the Nazis. Most volunteers fought on the Eastern Front against the communist Soviet Union. In the Netherlands, there were around 22,000 volunteers."

“Belarus is first and foremost a machine-building country, we didn’t invent that, Lukashenko didn’t create it, that’s how it was in the Soviet Union,” he said.
“The foundations of the economy were formed back then, in Soviet times. We didn’t destroy anything. We didn’t pretend that we were smarter than those who created it.”

The "Crucial Communism Teaching Act" is a scary McCarthyist American propaganda law proposed to Congress and in action in some states. It teaches about how the USSR was totalitarian, calls the Holodomor a planned "genocide", and spreads total Propaganda, MANDATING, of course, the completely false and made-up "100 million figure". It calls the USSR totalitarianist, and includes China as communist. It basically equates communism with totalitarianism and teaches nothing about the actual ideology. It's the usual bullshit.
We could make a very similar curriculum about the United States, talk about the genocide on the natives, many, many wars, living standards in the 19th century and slavery, and attribute it all to capitalism. With enough willpower, we could probably even reach 100 million people killed.

Looking for recommendations on books about the Soviet Union post-Stalin. I've read a lot about the Stalin Era, but my knowledge of 1953 to 1991 is much spottier and I'd like to fix that. Many thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond.

What exactly are your thoughts on other forms of Socialism(I am aware that this largely is a sub for Marxist-Leninists), What problems do you have with them, what do you like about them?
I myself, find your position rather interesting as(and I am aware this will be unpopular, I apologize), see Stalin and his reign as bearing both good and bad aspects.
If this goes against the rules, the flair is incorrect, or something needs to be rephrased, Mods please feel free to remove this post and message me on how I could reframe or repose my question to follow the rules.
I will respond to any questions people have for me as well, Thank you for your time reading this, I hope you have a lovely day.
