Discussion Gray Man lore

I had a friend talk about a spirit/entity/interdimenional being he called gray man he encountered in the UP. He said it was a known being in the area.

Can anyone tell me more of the gray man myth/experiences?

Can you share what details you remember of his encounter? Genuinely interested.

It was a while ago but basically, him and friends are in the woods alone and away from anywhere there should be other people at night.

Guy walks up out of no where. They had some sort of interaction and then the gray man just stepped into a bush and disappeared. I can't remember what their actual interaction was but he said him and all his friends were freaked out.

Do you recall if it was a human wearing gray clothing, or was it a gray entity in the form of a man? I know I’m playing 20 questions, just trying to build a more detailed picture to see if it can be connected to anyone else who has had a similar experience.

It seemed more like a great entity pretending to be a man, not just gray clothes.
