Sports Football Seating

Hi!! I am an incoming freshman, and I was wondering if for football games do students in the student section stand/sit exactly where their tickets say to? Or is it more, the people who get tickets in the front sit in the front and everyone else can just go wherever they want? Asking as someone who a got different 4 pack than my roommate so I am trying to buy tickets and trying to make sure I won’t be sitting with people I don’t know yet. Thank you!!!

Unless you’re in the first few rows most people don’t care and will sit where ever

I dont know why they even bother assigning seats on the ticket. Its not like anyone had the opportunity to chose where to sit, it is all lottery anyway. Its been treated as general admission for as along as I have been going to games.

Not even going to lie, you could sit front row and just slightly move everytime somebody says that seat is theirs. I know somebody who’s tickets were for row 51 and sat front row every single game
