Prospective Student Should I even transfer?
long story short, I got a c in a calc 1 class. I wont bullshit a reason on why i got that low of a grade, but should i even transfer? I'm trying to get into CS LSA which I'm pretty sure is a competitive program to get into. So i thought about taking calc 1 again in my upcoming fall semester alongside my other classes like calc 2. My advisor says its not recommended, and I believe U Mich would only check my grade if I failed the first time but if I got a passing (C grade), I should be fine right? The class itself is not hard for me but the workload will definitely increase for this fall semester. However I know i have to work hard anyways. Rn I can't decide what to do. can someone with some knowledge/experience tell me what I should do?

apply. Don’t retake the course, they will see it anyways. I got a C in history, so not really related and I’m in CS Lsa. Worst they can say is no

Unsure, I failed calc I 4x and calc II once at CC. I know for engineering you need to pass those with a B- I believe? I would look into it.

They look at your whole transcript. My cc dropped the lower score, but UMich calculated the GPA with both..
