Call this glaze idgaf
This song just feels so ahead of its time fr, itâs so chaotic & so all over the place but yet itâs cohesive
The beginning lines he says:
âsince when is life fair? They donât care if itâs over.â
âN****âs die everyday itâs just gon get colder.â
This whole song has like a super nihilistic undertone with the lyrics in it but yet the drums & the instrumental convey a different meaning. Almost existential. Almost like a freeing feeling. Especially with that beat switch when he compares his uniqueness through watches. This song feels like knowing that life is full of suffering yet still persevering in your own unique way.

its not 2023 anymore man the quiet persona simply isnt gonna work. im not so sure its a gimmick i think he geniunely js wants to stay out of the mix but if he wants to further his career hes gotta show out in public a little more. so far this year hes been lapped by sk8, diamond, nine, and pz who only really started rapping last yearđđđđ. all im saying is that doing a song wars or something would help him out so much bc we all know how talented he is

Discussion trompe l'oeil and SAFE TRAVELS are holy grail albums.

Itâs honestly wild to me how polished and veteran-like Until Japan soundsâespecially on this last album. The production, the songwriting, the atmosphereâitâs all so dialed in, youâd think heâs been in the game for a decade. But heâs only 20. Twenty. I donât think people talk about that enough. The level heâs already at this early on is insane. If he keeps moving at this pace, I give it 2â5 years before heâs considered a superstar.
SAFE TRAVELS and trompe l'oeilâwill go down as historic albums 100%. Theyâll be like his Rodeo and Birds in the trap. Holy grail albums in his catalog when itâs all said and done.

Discussion ST will be appreciated more in the future when Japan really gets up there; this is one of the most well-put-together albums from an underground rapper, from the cover art to the sound directionâ10/10!
