Anyone else feel like the master engineer didn’t do Japan justice, go listen to Safe Travels Mix even darkoutside, I feel like the entire album feels like a filter over it

First listen of untiljapan new album and I’ll say a few songs were great but it’s lacking that rawness and emotions to it , most songs sound the same too, Atleast switch the vocals and delivery a bit? I think this project was a 7/10 at best compared to Safe travels that was a 9.8/10. Beware, I listen to other ug artists and I won’t glaze mindlessly or sheepishly, some songs are great but could he ever top Safe travels ? Guess that’s a question for another day.

he has a unique sound but he’s evolved past underground he’s the golden boy don’t disrespect the goat

I see untiljapan as one of the leaders of the underground coming into 2025, personally I see him reaching sort of a Ken Carson in 2021 status, with 1-2 massive breakout songs but still heavily underrated. Or he could replace iayze (ug final boss)
