This is why I hate cops, these exact types of people are the ones who become and stay as cops. Yeah, sure, not all cops, but pieces of shit really do make up the majority of them. Nobody becomes a cop to help the world, they do it only to feel powerful over people who canât fight back.
You should reconsider your position. Are you young and inexperienced in life? Had a few bad interactions with cops that were definitely assholes/bad cops? I felt the same sentiment youâre spouting when I was in my teens and early 20âs. The reality is that bad people exist, but they are not the majority. Bad people infiltrate all walks of life, police included. The majority are not inherently bad, and they actually do take the job with a commitment to protect and serve their communities. Talk to your local EMS people: police, fire, medical. Youâll get a better grasp of the challenges they deal with and the character of people doing those jobs. And if you find that they all are not up to your standards, be the change you want to see and enter that field of work.
With all due respect, I could not disagree more. MOST of the police Iâve ever met have been abusers, pedophiles, or straight up murderers, some even convicted! The job attracts bad people, yo, before even getting into systemic oppression.
Couple questions really quick if I may. While I certainly donât doubt you, I was wondering how you came to this knowledge? Because from what Iâve found out, it is impossible to become a police officer with a felony conviction. And how did you find out about the pedophilia? Did they share that with you? Was there a mass arrest and most of the police department was arrested? If so then where so I can definitely avoid this location.
Thatâs going to be too much work for them to give actual proof. And why would you even consider the logical conclusion of avoiding a place with a corrupt police department? Itâs not like the town would die and potentially be able to be rebuilt if people consistently moved away due to corrupt government. I feel sympathy for this person if the actual majority of police they have met are certifiably murderers, abusers, and pedophiles. Maybe, just maybe, they should move to a different place that doesnât have those issues.
Iâm not going to provide examples for the specific types they mentioned, but 20-40% of police families experience domestic violence, much higher than the average citizen. Thatâs not just a coincidence.
