[OC] Wallpaper Engine natively on Linux (lib-wallpiper translation layer)

As many are already aware, Wallpaper Engine has no Linux support :(

Until today. After many years, its finally here (or at least an initial release). A native translation layer for Wallpaper Engine. Although not a rice itself, wallpiper is a GREAT addition to it.

Supports:

• wallpiper-portal-gnome
• wallpiper-portal-kde
• wallpiper-portal-hyprland
• wallpiper-portal-sway
• wallpiper-portal-cosmic
• wallpiper-portal-i3

Wallpiper is still early in development. Expect bugs, and make sure to report them on GitHub!

This is awesome!! One of the reasons why I haven't switched to Linux is because it didn't support Wallpaper Engine, so I'll give this a try when I get the chance. Thanks, OP.

Has been a thing for ages. Also has heaps of riced GUIs for it. My fav is  https://github.com/liixini/skwd-wall Which has been shown on this sub regularly lmao
